He remained functioning as man.

That does not mean he was not also God.
He was just not functioning in the power of His own Deity to remain being as a man.

His deity agreed not to empower him directly.
As a man of God, all his power had to be supplied by the Holy Spirit, not his own Deity.

Who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped,
but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.
And being found in human form he humbled himself and became obedient unto death,
even death on a cross.
Philippians 2:6-8

........
He was functioning in His divinity when He received worship. Otherwise, those who worshipped Him were in violation of the 1st commandment. He received worship in His divinity.

1 Corinthians 10:23 RV1895
[23] All things are lawful; but all things are not expedient. All things are lawful; but all things edify not.

Even you want to do something far of God will... If God have a purpose with you... You will submit to his obedience... Late or soon you will.

He was functioning in His divinity when He received worship. Otherwise, those who worshipped Him were in violation of the 1st commandment. He received worship in His divinity.

He never stopped being God.
He simply stopped functioning in his power of Deity in order to allow his humanity to be tempted as we all are tempted.

If he were being God in power?
He could never be tempted to test his choices of his soul.

Why was that?

His flesh was not fallen.
You keep going on about total depravity,.in fact you never shut up about it.

And you really need to understand the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us, to overcome the will of the flesh.

Does total depravity really exist ?

The answer answer is only if you leave out the part his word became flesh dwells amongst us.

And also in the unsaved to the totally depraved have the word dwelling with them to.

So again does total depravity really exist ?

The answer is only in the totally depraved who don't recognise that the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us.

I'll ask you again does totally depravity. Really exist

The answer is only until a person realises the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us to overcome the will of the flesh.

Dose totally depravity really exist.

The answer is it doesn't exist for God but it exists in the totally depraved until they recognise the word.bexame flesh and dwelt amongst us to overcome the will of flesh

John 1:12-14

21st Century King James Version

12 But as many as received Him, to them gave He power to become the sons of God, even to those who believe in His name,
13 who were born not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us

re: ei: if, whether, though, HELPS word studies suggests:
Accordingly, 1487 (ei) should not be translated "since," but rather always "if" – since the assumption may only be portrayed as valid (true, factual).
full definition from HELPS word-studies (bold, underline mine):

1487 ei (a conditional conjunction) – if. 1487 /ei (followed by any verb) expresses "a condition, thought of as real, or to denote assumptions" (i.e. viewed as factual. for the sake of argument) (BAGD). Accordingly, 1487 (ei) should not be translated "since," but rather always "if" – since the assumption may only be portrayed as valid (true, factual).

in Matt 4:3, εἰ Gr.1487 (if) is followed by the verb εἶ Gr1510 (thou be) ... so the "if" is viewed as "factual".

Matthew 4:3 And when the tempter came to him, he said, If [εἰ=Gr1487] thou be [verb εἶ=Gr1510] the Son of God, command that these stones be made bread.

I'm not convinced that Satan posed the challenge to jump off the cliff expecting Jesus to jump but rather to show his lack of assurance in that had He not. Any possibilities about his exact motives are speculative, of course.
satan was very crafty in his second attempt. When responding to satan's first temptation, the Lord Jesus Christ said it is written.

In this second temptation, satan quoted Scripture ... in effect, since man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God, here's something from the mouth of God. And again, the Lord Jesus Christ responded with it is written.

These temptations of the Lord Jesus Christ provide good lessons for the believer. The Word of God is powerful and it is mighty and effective against the wiles of satan. it is written was and is a great example the Lord Jesus Christ gave us to follow in dealing with that wicked one.

Mem said:
Re: the mystery hidden in Christ, that is, through Him, the world would be saved, if I'm not mistaken. So, I think it's safe to assume that, although they knew that He was aware of His authority over them, an evil spirit also knew Paul in a similar sense, saying, "I know Jesus, and I know Paul, but who are you?" Acts 19:15 so, that leaves a little room for the question of whether any of them knew Him in his fullness, the Purity of Him, unlike Paul, as the only begotten Son of God.
The mystery hidden in Christ is more than that the world would be saved through Him (which is the gospel). It has to do with the born again ones revealing the manifold wisdom of God unto principalities and powers in heavenly places ... we are now able to stand fast in faith because we have boldness and access with confidence unto God by faith:

Ephesians 3:2-12

2 If ye have heard of the dispensation of the grace of God which is given me to you-ward:

3 How that by revelation he made known unto me the mystery; (as I wrote afore in few words,

4 Whereby, when ye read, ye may understand my knowledge in the mystery of Christ)

5 Which in other ages was not made known unto the sons of men, as it is now revealed unto his holy apostles and prophets by the Spirit;

6 That the Gentiles should be fellowheirs, and of the same body, and partakers of his promise in Christ by the gospel:

7 Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power.

8 Unto me, who am less than the least of all saints, is this grace given, that I should preach among the Gentiles the unsearchable riches of Christ;

9 And to make all men see what is the fellowship of the mystery, which from the beginning of the world hath been hid in God, who created all things by Jesus Christ:

10 To the intent that now unto the principalities and powers in heavenly places might be known by the church the manifold wisdom of God,

11 According to the eternal purpose which he purposed in Christ Jesus our Lord:

12 In whom we have boldness and access with confidence by the faith of him.

Each and every born again believer has the Lord Jesus Christ within (Christ in you the hope of glory Col 1:27) ... we have boldness and access with confidence unto the very throne of grace ... to obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need (Heb 4:12) ... what greater place to be when that old devil comes along to tempt, torment, persecute, afflict us. As we remain steadfast and unmoveable in faith, satan cannot gain the victory. greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world (1 John 4:4).

The wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom (1 Cor 2:7) goes far beyond the scope of the gospel ... and these are truths satan does not want the born again believers to know.

There are so many of God's children who suffer because they are not aware of the great and precious promises God has included in this hidden wisdom which was kept secret since the world began (1 Cor 16:25) until God revealed this marvelous mystery to Paul.

He became flesh to be qualified to die for all men, as a man.

He became flesh to show all men how a man should live when living for God.
Have you tried going the beech and watching the tide come in, it's amazing how much you drop of the horizon. And if you sit there in qwe of. Gods wonder,..imagine this.

I'm the beginning was the word, and the word became flesh and dwelt amongst us.

This means the living active word dwells in us to overcome the will of the flesh

Well.sir what else does it mean well sir it means lots of nice things.

But most importantly sir it means the totally depraved have something that can dwell with them untill the will of the flesh is overcome.

So don't deprave yourself anymore sir and it would be a good idea to remember this chat

While the hypostatic union in Jesus cannot be fully understood, He did operate in His divinity. Making Himself of no reputation doesn't mean He didn't operate in His divinity, but that He emptied Himself of His glory. Otherwise, He would have appeared as He did on the Mount of Transfiguration all the time.

I know you find it boring because you just can't let go of total depravity,

What you have to do sir is focus on getting over yourself

You should try discussing total depravity with Magenta, Cameron and Rufus.
It is they that caused me to talk about it so much....

Direct what you think that I need to hear, to them!
They are the ones who need to hear it.

"Christ in" takes place after a person is born again.

Before we are born again, we can know God exists, that He is the Creator of the heavens and the earth, we can read God's Word, we can hear God's Word as God's faithful children speak the truth of Scripture ... these are the ways God leads mankind to Him.

However, some reject what they see in creation as having been created by God, they suppress the truth in unrighteousness when God's Word is read and/or spoken.

John 14:21 He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.

John 14:23 Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

Yep and all that you cite here is the lords faith, which can only come From a heart that has been willed.

Because human free will lives in the flesh John 1:12-14

Read what this says, as it doesn't just say you only have to born of God, it also says no will of the flesh can be born of God,

And it also says no-one can be born of God unless his active word dwells in you and with you and for you,

He made himself to be as a man, to make himself able to be temptable as we are tempted.

For we do not have a high priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses,
but One who has been tempted in all things just as we are, yet without sin.
Hebrews 4:15

If he was being manifested as God?
Nothing could have tempted Him!

Let no one say when he is tempted, “I am tempted by God”;
for God cannot be tempted with evil and he himself tempts no one."
James 1:13

Well, Cameron?

Are you ready to take off those roller skates yet?
