Just so you know. Daniel 7:25

The commentary's author misquotes the scripture. Isaiah 11:6 does associate the wolf and lamb and speaks of them as dwelling together. Perhaps they did also lie down together as the leopard and the kid.

    Understanding God’s election

There is no application of Romans 8:29 to any gentile? How about Romans 8:28? How about 8:32? Just because a particular group isn't the original audience this doesn't mean a wider application of a verse is not possible.

I agree. Our church began as a house church. 5 adults and 3 children.

    Understanding God’s election

You presume that Rahab took the initiative. Read Joshua 2:9-10 again. She says I know that the Lord has given you the land. How did she know that?

    Understanding God’s election

There are Jewish people being saved today...just not in the numbers that will be saved at some future time.

    Understanding God’s election

This in some way is the experience of all who are genuinely saved. Those who simply give mental assent and make a decision for the Lord have had their mind engaged and probably their emotions raised, but this is not salvation. Most good preachers can cause this affect, and must guard against...

    Understanding God’s election

When God came to you and opened your understanding of Christ and His so great salvation, did your heart not burn within you? Were you not convinced of the terribleness of your sin and sorrowful over it? Did you not cry out for forgiveness and earnestly seek forgiveness and reconciliation? You...

    Understanding God’s election

God is always at work. When one is in tune with the spiritual, like Jesus they will see what God is doing and join Him. Jesus did only what He saw the Father doing. We should do likewise. What do you suppose Jesus saw God doing? There is an excellent book by Henry Blackaby called Experiencing...

    Understanding God’s election

There is no requirement to attend a reformed church for salvation. I personally attend a nondenominational church. There are also no requirements that one is reformed to attend a church with reformed beliefs. That you find it gobblygook simply means you don't understand reformed theology.

    Understanding God’s election

Sure the gospel is simple...Christ and Him crucified. That's what should be preached from every pulpit. The logic you follow is not the logic the reformed faith. You will never find this conclusion among the reformed.

    Understanding God’s election

Adam didn't here the gospel until after he hid. He was also shown the gospel. Makes one consider communion a little differently.

    Understanding God’s election

No. I can read 1 Corinthians 15. But that doesn't reveal the outworking of salvation. Nor is it necessary to be saved.

    Understanding God’s election

You are tenacious as well. In all the comings I mentioned, who took the initiative? God or man? Salvation was God's idea. Adam's idea was to hide and put on camouflage.

    Understanding God’s election

Very few people who are saved understand the outworking of salvation. It isn't included in the gospel. Merely believing in Christ is necessary. And even this isn't fully known to most recipients of grace.

    Understanding God’s election

Salvation is very personal. God went to Noah. That's how he was saved. God went to Abraham. That's how he was saved. God went to Adam and Eve and provided a blood atonement and covered them. That's how they were saved. Those of the reformed faith are well aware of the very personal coming...
