    Understanding God’s election

So you are saying that knowing the exact outworking of salvation is necessary to salvation? I can board a plane without knowing all the physics that allow a plane to fly, right?

    Understanding God’s election

Many consider receiving to be an active response to giving. But if I put $100 into your bank account, you have received a gift without any action on your part. Likewise, if God confers something upon an individual or imputes something to them, it is theirs through no effort of their own. Also...

Just so you know. Daniel 7:25

You don't think these things have bearing on the passage?

Just so you know. Daniel 7:25

The wolf lays down with the lamb...Isaiah 11:6.

    Wars and rumors of war.

Good question. Another question: who is arming, training, and funding them?

Just so you know. Daniel 7:25

How is it clarified if it's talking about 2 different things. And you still haven't established a timeline biblically. When does this occur? Last days? Of what?

Just so you know. Daniel 7:25

Yes, I know what a famine is. But the famine isn't of the word of God. The famine is in the hearing of it. If you understand the difference, one reflects a scarcity of the word available. No word present. The latter can have the word present, but no understanding being given.

Just so you know. Daniel 7:25

Isn't the famine of the hearing of the word of God and not the word of God itself?

    Understanding God’s election

God frees people from the slammer. Sometimes He uses us. He plucks the brands from the fire.

    Understanding God’s election

While I agree that Romans does address why Israel failed, it is hardly limited to Jews or simply their failure. And while we all should be careful to understand scripture in its original context, there is still application beyond the original audience.

    Understanding God’s election

Why? The manner of salvation isn't a salvific issue. And since you know full well that every doctrine you espouse isn't correct because we all hold some truth in error, why don't you self identify as a heretic?

    Understanding God’s election

This is relatively mild for here.

    Understanding God’s election

I agree what God's purpose is. Israel wasn't given the law for salvation. But everything you are explaining deals with decisions God unilaterally made. He chose Israel. They became His. God chose to place them in darkness. God chose to engraft Gentiles. All of these are sovereign actions. I do...

    Understanding God’s election

Sure, man is responsible before God. Romans 1 makes this clear, as well as many other passages.

    Understanding God’s election

No one should form a doctrine from a singular verse or passage. Neither should they ignore the full counsel of scripture, but compare scripture with scripture. You have done so and reached doctrine you believe is correct. Others have done the same and disagree with your assessment. We all...

    Understanding God’s election

I agree that God works within the choices of men. But if you read Acts 2:37 you find God enabling ears to here and circumsizes the heart. I believe this is what alters the volition and leads to...what shall we do? Many more than 3000 people heard Peter's sermon. What caused some to believe...

    Understanding God’s election

I know for a fact that a number of people have shared dozens and dozens of verses that display man's inability due to his fallen nature.

    Understanding God’s election

No. You misunderstand the context. God is still saying He moves sovereignly. That He moved is evidenced by the response. That He doesn't, simply means He isn't moving. For instance, God forgives a sinner who earnestly asks. What conditions cause someone to earnestly ask? Perhaps when the...
