I am single and not a fan of it. I search from time to time, but find that most guys aren't really interested in a relationship, just a fun time. I'll chat with someone for a bit and find out he's like the other men that show interest in me. So I quit.

I Am a Man, And I have the same issue with my Christian Singleness right now. Almost every Woman that has pursued me as I am not really ready anyway for me to pursue a Woman. Well, they have only been looking for sex, or something casual. They are not ready for a serious, no sex before marriage relationship. I know that it is very difficult to wait on Gods Perfect Timing. I wish that I was ready and that God would bring me My Forever Spouse Soon. There is nothing that I want more than to Feel the Perfect Peace of Jesus Christ in my Heart and Soul. Second to that is Holding the Woman that is meant for Me. Please don't give up, I will not give up. Patience is the hard part. In the meantime let's better ourselves so that we may be ready for that Glorious Day!!!

I don't know if you have stores like Home Depot or Lowe's (home improvement stores,) but there are always tons of men shopping there.

Perhaps you could find a safe space in the parking lot and offer to hand out free buckets to customers...

Talk about shooting two birds with one stone (accomplishing two goals in one shot!!)

1. You'd be getting rid of that monster stash of free buckets you've told us about, and,

2. You might meet a husband in the process.

Just saying!!!

For my part, searching high and low for a marriage partner would be like anticipating the public disclosure of those clandestine aliens who've allegedly been visiting us for millennia.

Anyone who's ever watched Star Trek, will know it's the Prime Directive innit? You can't just go round interacting with other species, because a certain level of development has to be attained before establishing contact.

So, if anyone from some far flung corner of the household of faith is waiting for me to show up, I apologise for not being accomplished enough to have met you at that juncture already. Being a rudimentary doofus, still playing catch up.

In all seriousness though, walking in the 'serendipity' of God's will is the optimal approach for a rendezvous that is conducive to marriage. And I'm good with that.

There's solid reasons why some people are single even if they desire not to be. Small town....EVERYONE knows.

Why on earth as an older person would you stand someone up? At 38 she is NOT going to get anymore dates around here. My friend hadn't gone on a date in 15 years. (Really nice and good guy) Didn't bother even looking....he had other priorities. Friends stick together so....she is mud in my book....something to scrape off your boot.

My friend is not dog ugly either. He is trim, well manicured and much more polite and better mannered than I am. He is also kind and generous....which is why we are friends (birds of a feather]

I won't give up. My big purpose is to discover my true relationship with Christ. Then I know all else will come when God is ready for me.
