Until we see the events laid out in the great book of Revelation, we will not know the exact time. We will be able to know within a 1/2 day of Jesus return. As for the rapture Read Ezekiel 13 God says I am against those who teach my people to fly to save their soul.

It could be that the oil in the lamps refers to the spirit of natural life, that once it ran out that life was extinguished and they all slept the sleep of death.

And the oil refill is the spirit of eternal life, that the wise virgins had wisely stored away and could enter the lord's presence when he arrived; whereas the foolish virgins had not stored oil in preparation for that day and thus their lamps were extinguished, symbolizing eternal death.
Where everyone starts out with the initial oil, the extra oil that only the five had which needed to be bought is symbolic of a market transaction, where the buyer and the seller of a good are in agreement in concern to the price of it (as much as the anticipated need for it or otherwise they wouldn't have thought it worth the price and bought it).

Maybe they bought it and sold it like Esau sold his birthright

Buy the truth, and sell [it] not; [also] wisdom, and instruction, and understanding. Proverbs 23:23

My apology for being wrong.

I was pretty confident we would see a Covenant by many ( United Nations ) ( Dan 9:27 ) on Feast Trumpets which didnt happen.

The 21 point plan of Trump I do believe is still in play

The only people who left earth yesterday were those who died. And that won't change until Christ returns in a loud blaze of glory that the whole world will witness. "No pre-trib rapture for you" - Pre-trib Rapture Nazi

That covenant was made nearly 2000 years ago with the houses of Israel and Judah. You will be wrong every time if you stay on the same path you are on.

Have to post this from time to time. Not sure I’m onboard with exactly everything here, but it concisely shows their is a DEFINITE difference between the Rapture (Harpazo) and Christ’s Second Coming:

Oil always represents holy spirit. Consider the 7-fold lampstand in the temple. It was a hollow vessel that was filled with oil and a wick that burned producing light. That candlestick could do nothing of itself, but was merely a vessel to hold oil that did the work. I think you can see the analogy.

Likewise, Jesus is pictured in Revelation as walking among the 7 gold lampstands. This symbolizes the spirit of Jesus bringing light to the 7 assemblies that could do nothing of themselves. The assembly in Ephesus was trying very hard to please Jesus with their works, and he praised them for those, but he rebuked them for taking their eyes off of him walking in their midst which is what produced the light.

Likewise, the two sons of anointing that stand before the lord of the earth feed the 7-fold lampstand before God with oil so it will produce light. This again is analogous to Jesus walking among the 7 lampstands which produce light through his spirit.

If I think of other examples I will post them

Analogous to the 7 spirits of God.

Isaiah 11: 1-2
Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse,
And a Branch from his roots will bear fruit.
2 The Spirit of the Lord will rest on Him,
The spirit of wisdom and understanding,
The spirit of counsel and strength,
The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the Lord.

And then in Revelation 3:1:

“To the angel of the church in Sardis write:
He who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars, says this: ‘I know your deeds, that you have a name that you are alive, and yet you are dead.

They are:
Lordship
Wisdom
Understanding
Counsel
Strength
Knowledge
Fear of the Lord

This is seen in the construction of the minora: seven qualities from one standard:

Is it not well known how one buys oil from the Lord?

It tells us right in scripture!

Anyone? Bueller?

Lordship should be godliness, ie, spirit of godliness

Analogous to the 7 spirits of God.

The correct order is
  1. Understanding
  2. Knowledge
  3. Wisdom
  4. Fear of the Lord
  5. Godliness
  6. Strength
  7. Counsel

Where everyone starts out with the initial oil,
I'm sorry, but this is not right.

Oil, throughout Scripture, is represented as the Holy Spirit.
The Lamp, or vessel, is our bodies. We are EMPTY of the Holy Spirit until we are saved and sealed WITH the Holy Spirit.

The 5 foolish virgins DID NOT have any oil. They did not have the Holy Spirit.

I can light my Tiki Torches WITHOUT any oil, and the wick ITSELF will burn for a short time. But without oil, it will quickly go out.

I believe this is more correct. All ten had lamps but only five had extra oil. They're lamps went out when they fell asleep (representative of death). They all awoke (all are resurrected and the foolish could be view here as having lit their wicks containing residual oil). But I think it is more accurate that extra oil is the Holy Spirit, (they all had life (created by through and for Jesus) to start with, but the wise had Jesus and the Holy Spirit.

This is actually not too bad a rendering of this. You may be right that they were all dead. The only problem with it is nowhere does it say the foolish had ANY oil. It is speculation to say that because the text says the wise virgins had EXTRA oil means that the the foolish had SOME oil.
It doesn't say they had ANY oil.

And if they had SOME oil, which you agree represents the Holy Spirit, then Jesus wouldn't have said at the end of the parable "I don't know you".
