Can we not play school, and you can tell us plainly, so we all can know?
Ok it's in:
Philippians 4:6-8
6 Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God.
7 And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things..../KJV
When we bring our prayers and supplications to the Lord we are coming into His presence. When we do the Lord will focus on us and it will leave a residue on you. This is the oil of the Spirit.
Remember Moses? He spent 40 days & nights in the presence of the Lord and came back glowing! he had to wear a veil because he was scaring people! That came from 40 days in the Lord's physical presence. I guess it's safe to presume that Moses had extra oil!
What it means to us is one on one time with the Lord. Pray to Him, give Him your supplications and praise and gratitude and just talk to Him. Pour out your heart to Him. Then you are getting oil from the Lord. His Spirit will be with you you will grow spiritually and He will have the time with you to teach you and heal you, sanctify you over time.
I read that scripture about He will say to some, I never knew you, which is clearly a warning scripture. I thought, I don't want to be that guy. I would rather be the kid who never shuts up, lol! So I started inviting the Lord to go with me everywhere and talk to Him all day long. I became very sensitive to the awareness of the presence of the Lord. I began to be able to differentiate between His voice and what is my thoughts. He has His own way of talking and thinking, which are, above my ways of talking and thinking!
All of that becomes possible with the Oil. If you spend enough time with the Lord you will begin to glow also. Like scripture tells us, let your light shine before men! Now uh, no one has ever told me that I am glowing so I am not quite there yet!
Maybe it is that we are spiritual beings and are made out of light? And depending on our closeness to God is how bright we shine to Him. The closer we walk with Him and talk with our Counselor, the more recharged our spiritual potential becomes. Maybe, He'll just look for the lights when He comes for the rapture?! don't get caught with a low battery!
