Those who are secure believe in eternal security..because they have the assurance of Christ

You can;t believe you can toss away salvation or "unearn" it and think you are secure. You would be lying to yourself.

There is a thread of unified thought within this letter and a central thesis.

James addresses these dispersed Jews 15 times as brothers and even beloved brothers.

James was thinking about believers when he wrote.

To think there James had unbelievers in mind is a modern view imposed on the text.

Tell me, if there were unbelievers where does James tell them how to get to heaven?

The letters are about how to live rightly with God because some of them were not, but they were saved.

You seem to equate a light burden to a non-existent burden. A light burden isn’t necessarily easy, relatively speaking. Since Jesus said the strait and narrow way is not easy, Jesus is saying that there is indeed a burden. If we took the yoke upon ourselves Jesus had, we’d be following his commandments, walking in his ways, because that’s a requirement. Flowery language doesn’t change this.

Jesus makes no mention of the strait and narrow being "not easy."

Yes, I responded to a post you made last November where you accused me of being dishonest. You claim honesty means a lot to you, yet you refuse to admit that Jesus did not say what you claim he did. You repeatedly make the claim He said something He did not, and that makes you dishonest. You cannot even admit that Scripture teaches that man is born into a state that requires a spiritual rebirth in order to be reconciled to God and attain to life ever after. You complain about being called a liar, while your post stream has multiple posts from you accusing people of being dishonest. Just on the first two pages! Mostly I have you on ignore because your twisting of Scripture is disturbing, and so I had not seen that post before. You have a very strange and sometimes completely absurd way of interpreting things.

First, you can start with this one and read where it ended up:

2K years ago you would have probably wanted to stone Christ along with the others who sought to kill Him.

God and Savior Jesus Christ are two different persons in this verse; hence the Trinity. This is corroborated by a mountain of scripture from Genesis to Revelation. I haven't even bothered to post all of it.
