conspiracy theorists don't understand the concept of Occam's razor
People who think assassinating a person with a security team can be explained with a lone nut job who never committed a violent offense in his life, they don't understand common sense.

slander is a crime

Actually it is not.

Now one can take another person to civil court in a lawsuit if they feel they have been slandered

But, it's no illegal to slander someone. Call 911 and tell them you want to report the "crime" of someone slandering you and listen to the 911 operator fall out of their chair laughing laughing3.gif

So to accuse someone of slander while at the same time saying you are not telling them to shut up is incongruous.

Only the young liberals get so upset when someone tell them they are wrong

People like this should go sit in their mommy's basement and pet their kitty cat and ask their mommy to make them some hot chocolate and bring them their teddy bear

Sounds like you have no business talking to others at all seeing your skin is so thin and you are so easily offended when others don't agree with you. Grow up! clueless-doh.gif

Exactly.

The security for Charlie Kirk was geared towards not allowing someone to walk up to him and physically assault him

These guys are not even in the ball park of the type of security needed and used to protect heads of state

Got it. Alex Jones was sued and lost close to $1 billion dollars, but it isn't a crime. Because according to you there is no such thing as civil court, there is no such thing as lawsuits, no the arbitor of whether or not something is a crime is 911.

Wow, I am biting my tongue to keep from telling you what this post has done to your credibility on this forum.

Think about these ones who accuse someone of slander because they are considering various possible suspects who had the means, the motive and the opportunity to assassinate Charlie Kirk.

For example, if I am one of the chaperones on a school trip with 100 kids (the rule is 1 chaperone for every 10 kids) and one of the kids goes missing. It may not be my fault, but you can be sure I will be grilled by everyone involved and the fact that I am considered as possibly being responsible is not slander, it is normal investigative procedure.

Also can you really trust the ones who claim that slander is not a crime and that accusing someone of speaking slander is not equivalent to telling them to shut up? Tell that to Alex Jones.

Or how about those who think that if your security team is not the secret service it doesn't count. Tell that to every rock and roll band.

And please show me chapter and verse from God's Word telling His people to pay attention to conspiracy theories and sit around discussing this garbage rather than getting people saved and making disciples??? Where is that exactly in the New Testament?

Where does God discourage seeking the truth? Wanting to know the truth is not a sin.

1 John 4 Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world.

One hand: 'Conspiracy theory' is a label used to manipulate the public. It discourages research and questioning, which is wrong.
Other hand: Some put their faith and lives into conspiracy theories, which is equally wrong.

If someday the government demands you stop reading your Bible because they claim it's a made up story and a conspiracy theory, are you going to listen to them? Of course not, because obviously 'conspiracy theory/theorist' slapped on the Bible or Christians is a meaningless label.

God commands us to test the spirits. It was God who led me to test the the narrative regarding covid and see through the propaganda, including an untested, experimental 'vaccine' forced on the public. I can do nothing but praise God for this. I would never discourage anyone from researching and learning for themselves. It just has to be balanced with reality, truth, and faith in the Lord of the Bible.

You fail to understand the difference between what a crime is verses taking someone to court to sue them
These are two total different things.

If slander where a crime such as murder, assault, or theft, then you could call 911 and the cops would go out and arrest the person that you claim slandered you.

In a civil lawsuit, you have to take your claim to court and very often those suing others claiming they ave been slandered lose their case because either they were not slandered, or their claims do not rise to the level of proving they were slandered.

If you spend some time studying the legal system you'll see the difference, or you can continue to fly off the handle not knowing what you are talking about. Which is why I challenge you to call 911 and report all those that disagree with you which you falsely claim is "slander"

Of course those not in agreement with the reprobate among us have no credibility according to the reprobates. laughing.gif

That's a civil matter to be settled in a civil suit.

If it were a crime you could call 911 and have them arrested.

Have you ever tried to have someone arrested for "slandering" you?

You should try it. It'll be a great adventure and will provide comedy relief for your local LEOs

Wanting to know the truth is not a sin.

Actual Christians know that Jesus defined God's Word as being Truth - John 17:17

Those following conspiracy theories are being tricked by the devil to be distracted from walking with the Lord

Luke 21:34
And take heed to yourselves, lest at any time your hearts be overcharged with surfeiting, and drunkenness, and cares of this life, and so that day come upon you unawares

2 Timothy 2:4
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

But WHO is "accusing" anyone of "slander" and do they have situational awareness?

How can you "slander" an anonymous internet user vs a real-life insane podcaster who tells the families of dead children that their children on the graves are not real?

You are throwing everyone into the same false bucket without understanding the difference. Christians testing the spirits - including current events - and comparing to scripture is not the same thing as people blinded by conspiracy theories. We are not all the same.

We'll have to agree to disagree.

So to accuse someone of slander while at the same time saying you are not telling them to shut up is incongruous?

My responses and examples have been directed towards Candace Owens. Her statements and claims surrounding Charlie Kirk has been the center of the discussion for 20+ pages now.

1. Where did I accuse you personally of slander?

2. While we're at it: Who is "the guy who profited from the crime that told you to shut up, and stop asking questions"? You wrongfully indicated/implied it was me in post #1,229, which is beyond stupidity. You need to clarify your response and set the record straight.

3. Still on repeat: Disagreeing with you, questioning you, or questioning your sources doesn't mean anyone is trying to silence you. You are still free to say what you want to say and have successfully done so for 60+ pages.

Like Trumps security team who missed the guy on the roof, the guy hiding in the bushes at the golf course, the guy at the airport? Didn't someone walk right in the WH when Obama was president? Like HigherGospel said, or whoever said first, this was not a big time security team.

So incompetent? The guy with 0 experience committing violent crimes, he is brilliant, while the security team they are incompetent.

it's a valid point. if the president's security can let a shooter slip through the cracks then it's not a big stretch of the imagination that it could happen to a podcaster at a college

Of course it is a possibility, but a minute ago you are saying we didn't understand Occam's razor and now you are ignoring Occam's razor.

The simplest explanation is that people who are career security personel are trained and know what they are doing, whereas a guy who never went to this university and never committed a violent crime would find it difficult if not impossible to sneak a rifle onto campus and to get into one of these buildings and to know how to get onto the roof and how to get off of it and do all that without being seen. Especially since the official story has him disassembling his rifle while on the roof after shooting Charlie. A process that takes a good 45 seconds under the best of circumstances.

However, it would make a great scene in a Naked Gun sequel, could definitely be hilarious.

ROOFTOP GETAWAY -- Fishing Poles

INT. CONVENTION CENTER - DAY

A SPEAKER addresses a large crowd. BANG! He drops. Chaos erupts.

EXT. ROOFTOP - CONTINUOUS

ASSASSIN (40s, wearing all black, extremely focused) lies prone with his rifle. He checks his watch, then springs into action with military precision.

He begins disassembling the rifle with practiced efficiency. Below, the crowd is screaming, people diving for cover.

SECURITY GUARD #1 (into radio, frantic) Shots fired! Shots from above! Everyone on the roof, NOW!

The Assassin unscrews the barrel from the stock. He glances over the edge - hundreds of people are looking up, pointing directly at him. A LITTLE KID waves.

ASSASSIN (to himself, calm) Forty-five seconds. Just like training.

He carefully places the stock in his backpack. The barrel won't fit. He tries different angles, grunting with effort.

INT. CONVENTION CENTER - CONTINUOUS

SECURITY GUARD #2 sprints toward the stairwell.

SECURITY GUARD #2 He's on the northwest roof! Go, go, go!

EXT. ROOFTOP - CONTINUOUS

The Assassin finally stuffs both pieces into the backpack and zips it... almost. The rifle barrel sticks out one side, the stock out the other, both completely visible and obviously gun-shaped.

He stands, throws the backpack over his shoulder. The rifle pieces stick out like wings.

ASSASSIN (satisfied nod) Perfect.

He walks calmly toward the roof access door, the rifle pieces bouncing with each step. He passes a MAINTENANCE WORKER who's emerged from the stairwell, staring in horror.

ASSASSIN (CONT'D) (cheerfully) Great weather we're having.

MAINTENANCE WORKER (pointing at the gun pieces) Is that—?

ASSASSIN (glancing back at the protruding rifle) Fishing poles. Carbon fiber. Very expensive.

He pats the backpack confidently and disappears into the stairwell, the barrel and stock scraping against both sides of the doorframe as he squeezes through.

Occam's razor is a principle that states that when faced with competing explanations, the one that makes the fewest assumptions is usually the best

So in order to go with the official story you must make a number of assumptions

1. A guy who was never a student at this university would know the layout and know which building to go on and how to get on that roof.

2. This guy would also be able to sneak a rifle into the campus even though it would not fit in his backpack even if it were disassembled.

3. He is able to shoot and kill Charlie with one bullet.

4. Prior to shooting he reassembles the rifle while on the roof, a process that takes at least 45 seconds. He is a little more than 100 yards from Charlie, a fit person can run that in 20 seconds and yet here he is for 45 seconds?

5. Trained security personell do not look at the roof that is in a clear line of sight 100 yards away and so do not see the assassin on the roof.

6. After shooting Charlie he does not immediately flee, no he takes the rifle apart, a process that will take him 45 seconds, and then he puts the two pieces into a backpack even though they will not fit and even though we can see the backpack on video and there is no rifle in it.

7. He goes to a woods nearby to leave the rifle but first reassembles it while the entire place is crawling with cops looking for the assassin.

Occam's razor also says that the benchmark for the speed in changing a rifle magazine is Val Kilmer, an actor, who is used in police and military training materials.
