No. Physical death is the end of opportunity.
Our last breath is our last opportunity.

And your example appeals to our emotions. Not to HIS truth. ONE itsy bitsy sin separates us from a HOLY God as do the unthinkable sins.

Salvation is equal privilege and equal opportunity for ALL.
is salvation offered to people in hell ?

I have never heard of anyone believing some of the gifts are for today but some aren't and I have been accused of making a doctrine out of a single verse taking it ut of context so aside from what Paul said what basis is there to suggest they have ceased?

There has been a lot said regarding this in other threads but appreciate we can't read everything, even with good eyesight. :)

In a nutshell. Paul explained the purpose of tongues in 1Cor.14:21 as the fulfillment of Isaiah's prophecy Is.28:11, a sign for unbelieving Jews to accept their Messiah. The Lord is gracious and always gives people time to repent (eg Noah's day, 120 years) but when the Temple was destroyed in 70AD that signified time was up and Israel went out under final discipline.

Paul prophesied tongues would cease along with the gift of knowledge and of prophecy. 1Cor.13:8 The words used for their cessation are two different Greek words. Knowledge and prophecy would fade out but tongues would cease abruptly. This signifies their cessation is under different circumstances. Knowledge and prophecy would fade away as the cannon of scripture was completed and spread over the world. Tongues ceased abruptly when Israel (as a nation) was shown to have rejected their Messiah with the destruction of the Temple.

The three gifts are no longer needed. If you want to know God's will and what will happen in the future? It is all recorded for us in scripture. There is no additional knowledge to be known as it is all recorded in scripture. Israel (as a nation) had it's chance to accept their Messiah, they blew it so no more need for tongues.

Does God still use those three gifts in special circumstances? Maybe, but they are not given as a permanent gift to any believers today.

His word is clear by his beatitudes, but more that that, his word is clear that salvation requires both the devine nature of the father and the son in a person,

So t's a case of first come the Jew then the gentile for me,

Salvation is a gift from him not from people, the fiery test within the heart decides the outcome, salvation is something you cant just freely choose without going through the father first who draws you to him. Otherwise you would have evil people roaming around in heaven.
Ok yeah that makes sense after all if one is not drawn by the father first then one cannot recieve salvation because after all the flesh does not desire nor seek the kingdom of their own doing

Even if one could it would only be by the quickening of the spirit within them

So then how do you explain what happened to me when I was in the presnece of unbelievers and tongues was spoken over me to heal me of my sickness? and also I actively walk in the prophetic in fact I gave a word just today about something for a friend and it confirmed something I had no knowledge of before hand I just somehow knew

does that include the last breath for evil people to, do you decide that to ? Do you get to decide you can wait until your last breath, that's a dangerous game to play mate.

What exactly did the thief steal ? Did he steal back what was stolen from him ?

Was he a thief or was he another person falsely accused like Jesus.

I explain it by going to the word and testing the spirits.

I have encountered many supernatural events over the course of my life. Not all were from God.

It changes everything it US CLEAR THAT SALVATION IS FOR All not some
It doesnt change anything; Salvation in Christ is for the elect exclusively 2 Tim 2:10

10 Therefore I endure all things for the elect's sakes, that they may also obtain the salvation which is in Christ Jesus with eternal glory.

Yes, many of us can say the same!
But it is quite easy to discriminate between the origin of those events.
The evil from the evil one - attempts at destruction, enslavement, temptations (of one kind or another).
The good from God - deliverance, a way of escape, victory.

The fact of spiritual warfare manifesting itself in our domain is an ever-present reality.

Free will is simply the option or the capacity to disobey God's will. The word free will exist because God's will exist. It means you are free to do your will or God's will and also in a general sense you are free to do whatever you will. You can't debate or explain free will outside of the context of God's will and your will. That's why conversation gets lost. Amen.

And how does this verse say it is for the elect exclusively? And what about this
1Timothy 2:4 who wants all people to be saved and to come to a knowledge of the truth.

Well, to start with I would think about Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8. He obviously was doing "good" things for the people or they wouldn't have followed him yet none of it was from God.

Then I would think on the things I said in the other post regarding tongues etc.

I would also consider what Jesus said about how evil spirits can go and give the appearance of healing for a time. Matt.12:43-45

I also don't put God in a box and say He can never do these things but I don't build my doctrine on my experience but on the word of God.

Lastly, whenever I have had experiences that don't seem to exactly line up with His word or I am unsure, I always hold them in an open hand and ask the Lord to affirm His work or take it away. I've had a lot of things taken on that basis and had to change my thinking on some matters.

I don't want to diminish what you experienced. The Lord is gracious and generous above and beyond what we can comprehend and has mercy on our ignorance 1Tim.1:13 and will heal us or give us signs of His love in sometimes strange ways but ultimately we should never rest on our experience as the truth of a matter.

The Lord appointed pastor/teachers for a reason and if they are doing their job properly as unto the Lord, they help keep us safe from the wolves by feeding their flock according to the word of God.

grace and peace.

ps. others might have more suggestions re verses. I'm just thinking off the top of my head and my head is a bit fuzzy today. :)

It appears that the subject of tongues is not very well understood by some. Tongues are not babblings of noises; They are known languages ! IF One perceives Them, as babblings; They are in error! Choosing to use babblings in place of a known language is an error. language is an error. Demons may use babblings, indeed. How can that which is spoken

The "elect" in that verse is referring to Israel and they were not elected in Christ or they would never have rejected their Messiah.

You know even Jesus was accused of doing his healing from satan and his response to that? I am sure you already know also about that verse you gave and it being about demons healing nowhere does it say the femon healed it just says it returned to the person it inhabited
Now the thing is it is one thing if the devil was known for doing healing or giving a prophetic word but scripture never shows him doing this not even with the sorcerer you mentioned it is only speculation that he was doing healing or good things but the fact remains that I was healed and it was spoken in tongues against evil spirits witchcraft specifically
