Well, to start with I would think about Simon the sorcerer in Acts 8. He obviously was doing "good" things for the people or they wouldn't have followed him yet none of it was from God.
Then I would think on the things I said in the other post regarding tongues etc.
I would also consider what Jesus said about how evil spirits can go and give the appearance of healing for a time. Matt.12:43-45
I also don't put God in a box and say He can never do these things but I don't build my doctrine on my experience but on the word of God.
Lastly, whenever I have had experiences that don't seem to exactly line up with His word or I am unsure, I always hold them in an open hand and ask the Lord to affirm His work or take it away. I've had a lot of things taken on that basis and had to change my thinking on some matters.
I don't want to diminish what you experienced. The Lord is gracious and generous above and beyond what we can comprehend and has mercy on our ignorance 1Tim.1:13 and will heal us or give us signs of His love in sometimes strange ways but ultimately we should never rest on our experience as the truth of a matter.
The Lord appointed pastor/teachers for a reason and if they are doing their job properly as unto the Lord, they help keep us safe from the wolves by feeding their flock according to the word of God.
grace and peace.
ps. others might have more suggestions re verses. I'm just thinking off the top of my head and my head is a bit fuzzy today.
