    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

I did not ask a question. I pointed out the fact that you engaged in eisegesis. Your “support” of your claims doesn’t hold water. The fact that Christ died for the church does not say anything about Adam specifically. It’s speculation, not truth.

You focused on what I did not address, and dodged what I did.

According to Hugh Ross, Eve, but not Adam, was a 'dumb' newbie

That’s a lot of words. You could have slandered Ross with far fewer. Next time, please quote him and cite the source rather than merely claiming that he said something and assuming what he meant or implied.

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

Nothing in the text even hints that Adam sinned to be with Eve, or that the woman is more vulnerable to deception. Once again you are engaging in eisegesis.

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

Again (as usual), you need to do your homework. Paul was refuting cultic teachings prevalent in Ephesus at the time.

To all of you non flat earthers.

It sounds like you may be holding your interpretation of Scripture close to your heart, and allowing it to filter out truth, facts, and reality. That’s counterproductive.

“Help mate”: an excellent example of an archaic and incorrect interpretation.

Did Adam's kids commit incest among themselves to achieve posterity?

You are employing the fallacy of anachronism.

Did Adam's kids commit incest among themselves to achieve posterity?

Neither situation was “desperate”. It was all within God’s plan. He designed the human genome with sufficient breadth that procreation with one’s sibling early on would not have presented any problems. It’s anachronistic to apply the modern concept of incest to those situations.

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

I don't disagree that the roles of elder and pastor are conflated in the modern church. I just don't see the conflation in Scripture.

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

Opinion without Scripture is just opinion, not truth.

You asked the questions, and I answered. You didn’t specify parameters for the answers.

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

Right, because you say so and it aligns with your interpretation. Um, no. "Pastor" is nowhere associated with "elder" in Scripture. No, we don't. Acts 6:1-4 doesn't say that is the function of deacons. No; the females in that role are called "deacon", not "deaconess". By the way, when I...

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

It conveniently fits your interpretation. There is no indication that Phoebe was called a diakonos because she was financially generous. The hard reality is that the responsibilities of deacons simply are not given in Scripture. Many people think that "waiting on tables" from Acts 6 is the...
