    Signs You're Single

Signs that I'm single: The other side of the bed is cold. I find the keys... and the remote... where I left them. I recognize every purchase on the credit card statement. The gas tank is full. I have to make my own sandwich.

    Heaven and earth

Welcome to CC, Vanessa! I would encourage you to search out the phrase elsewhere in Scripture, and consider what it means, rather than assuming its meaning through 21st-century eyes. :)

No, the earth is not flat

Um, no; that's a burden of proof reversal. You claim it doesn't; you back up your assertion first.

    The meaning of "mature"

I'm not going to argue (right now) whether that is an accurate translation of the verse, other than to say I don't believe it is. However, your "quotation" of it must be addressed, because it is a complete corruption. Here's why: The word of God is the word of God in any language. The verse in...

No, the earth is not flat

Since you disagree with my assessment, please either explain how the globe-earth model disallows the miracles as described in Scripture, or point me to where you have already provided that explanation.

Are curses still relevant to the Christians?

"Lash out"? Wow... you must have really thin skin. Again, you demonstrate that you are incapable of a respectful response. Therefore, I'm done with you.

No, the earth is not flat

It appears to me that you are attempting to shut down this discussion and get people to focus on a different topic. Two comments to that: firstly, I would encourage you to read Josephus' account of the destruction of Jerusalem in 70 AD; and secondly, I would encourage you to start your own...

Are curses still relevant to the Christians?

Because, as I stated before, Scripture does not contain examples of everything that we as Christians will have to address. Further, Jesus plainly stated that His followers would do greater works than He did during His earthly ministry. Again, you are welcome to take the "Church of Christ"...

No, the earth is not flat

Given that the events recorded in Scripture were miraculous, the model of the earth's shape need not allow for them. In other words, those particular passages are irrelevant to this debate.

No, the earth is not flat

There are the misinterpretations of the relevant biblical record. There are the deceptions of fear, folly, and flawed logic. There are the readily-observable phenomena that don’t depend on any ‘establishment’.

    Russia Preparing for War.

Any invader coming from beyond Damascus would fit that description. I don't buy the idea that Ezekiel was writing about a period 2500 years in the future.

No, the earth is not flat

All this conspiracy claptrap seems to provide a convenient sidestep from dealing with the observable phenomena.

Are curses still relevant to the Christians?

I believe that God has empowered Christians to revoke and/or break curses uttered by humans. I also think much of their "power" is actually people's belief in or acceptance of them, rather than anything inherent in the words themselves.

    Warning Against Women

That's a good questions. My take on that is the Bible was written in a culture where women were more likely to be 'homebodies' while men were more likely to be out and about in the community. There's likely more to it. It is reasonably clear within Scripture that women were to be in the care of...

    Warning Against Women

These are referring to prostitutes marketing their "services", not to women in general.

    Cremation or Direct Burial

While this is informative, the fact that Hindus practice cremation does not, by itself, make it a "pagan practice" that Christians should avoid.

    Russia Preparing for War.

That verse says nothing about Russia. ;)

    Cremation or Direct Burial

I suggest you re-read the OP; the topic was not framed as a contrast of pagan versus Christian practices.

Are curses still relevant to the Christians?

I see you are unable to be respectful in your responses.

Are curses still relevant to the Christians?

Yes. Curses uttered by God cannot be revoked by humans.
