Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

No, He didn't. He told Peter to "Feed My sheep", not "I give you all authority over the other disciples." Further, in Matthew 28:18, Jesus said, "All authority in heaven and earth has been given to Me", not "... to you, Peter". Streeeee *pop* Nope. Not even remotely. You would do well to take...

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

Yes, you can do the same with any metaphor, but then you need to reject the cases where it doesn’t fit. ;)

Hamas is not a government. Neither is the RCC.

    THE WOMEN OF THE CHURCH

Unless the context is clearly talking the church corporate, it is likely that the passage is discussing literal marital relationships. Just because the Bible uses "bride" for "Church" does not mean every instance of "wife" or "husband" is implying the same metaphor.

    Religious Tithing

With respect, I sincerely hope that you are not a preacher in real life, and if you are, that the above is not typical of your sermons. It's doctrinally sloppy, poorly researched, and emotionally charged. I wouldn't tolerate preaching like that in my church. Voluntary tithing is recorded...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

And this affects their daily walk with Jesus how exactly? That's simply foolish. The problem is not the absence of a word that has no meaning outside of Christian circles, but the inadequate preaching of repentance from and forgiveness of sin, and of teaching people how to deal with relational...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

People have other concerns that for them are more important. The main doctrines are consistent across a wide variety of translations, making this issue secondary at best.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

You're attributing motive where you have provided no evidence for that motive. That wouldn't hold up in court, and it doesn't hold up in logical debate. Actually, considering that the TR contains so many "expansions of piety", it's not surprising. The vast majority of Christians I've...

I’m not a textual scholar. I don’t think you are either.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

I checked the link you posted. You pulled a three-year-old post from another thread, from long before you were a member here. What I wrote then was written in that context, not this. I have not defended any particular manuscript in this thread.

You would do well to do your homework before posting. What you describe is not circular reasoning.

The label is misleading, because it is used in opposition to "KJV-onlyism" but does not correspond in belief structure. You may as well drop it as it isn't contributing anything to our conversation.

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

I'm not their judge, but generally I don't think it's warranted. Just admit you were wrong. I haven't defended either. "Older" does mean less likelihood of copyist errors, but that is a general truth, not a specific reality in every case. Your categories are far too narrow, and you're...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

I didn't say anything about "higher" or "lower" textual criticism. I am merely addressing the practice of examining the available source materials to determine what is most likely the correct original wording. That's what Erasmus did, that's what the KJV translators did, and that's what modern...

Has anyone found secret messages in the bible?

I haven't claimed that "Originals Onlyism" is better. I have made no claim whatsoever about "Originals Onlyism", and I feel no obligation whatsoever to defend claims I have not made. Perhaps you should stop asserting things that have no basis and start addressing things that people actually say.
