Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

I believe that a lot of people become complacent with their faith. This why I have such issues with so called Hyper-Grace Pastors. I believe there is a specific reason why we as Believers are warned against falling away. I think when Jesus gave a stern warning to the Church of Laodicea, he...

I would say healing the sick and casting out demons is a pretty good example of grace. I’m not understanding your theology.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

I’m not offended. I gave scripture that gives credence to why I think this is very possible. Say a man for years is under Gods grace and than for whatever backslides. He not only backslides but becomes wicked. Now for years he lives unrepentant of these things and ignores God warnings to turn...

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

Than Thank you for posting. Also, why come to a discussion with a sense of hostility? If you believe that I am wrong, state so as to why and then present the evidence for that. Being rude is not a way to open a friendly discourse.

When God slays, is that immoral? Dr Frank Turek answers

I don’t take issue with anyone that wants to keep the OT view of the Sabbath. The issue I have is when those that hold that view tell the rest of us we need do so. I have explained this(along with others) that this is not the case in my pervious posts.

When God slays, is that immoral? Dr Frank Turek answers

You’re mixing two subjects. Are we taking about the moral law? If that is the case, than we should uphold that as we are a new creation(Yet we will fall short of that standard at times)As for the Sabbath, no we are not called to do as the Israelites were called to do.

They were peaching that Jesus was The Chosen One. They were speaking of His earthly ministry and that the spiritual Kingdom of God that had come. No, they did speak of His death and resurrection as that had not occurred yet.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

I agree that prior to His death and resurrection the disciples were very ignorant. After Pentecost of course they began to preach boldly. This of course is solidified in the few chapters of Acts. So to say they didn’t understand salvation until Paul came is not accurate.

The Millennium is a Pharisee Doctrine

Right, but we are taking about Christ return. The Kingdom is in the heart of believers, but are you denying that Jesus will reign in a physical kingdom? If so, what is the source you are using for this position?

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

You gave an in-depth explaination, but you incorporate other parables(eschatology) along with this particular one to make say something that it doesn’t. Just because a reponse is long doesn’t mean it’s correct.

The Millennium is a Pharisee Doctrine

You are correct that they expected a physical kingdom. Even Orthodox Jews today believe that Jewish Messiahs kingdom will be physical. Since they believed that I don’t see how that alters the notion that Christ will have a physical kingdom when He returns.
