    How Would You Explain Christianity?

The best approach I heard someone say is “If Jesus really died and was resurrected, would you become a Christian?” I would go from there depending on their response.

Sometimes You Have To Lose To Win.

Yes. Sometimes we have to give up what is dear to us to gain Gods blessings. I know this all too well.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

I also enjoy these discussions because I learn from them. I’ve had discussions with Catholics, Muslims, Jews, Atheists, Agnostics, and from all of those I have learned where they are coming from and researched their claims so I can give the proper response. Being informed is essential when...

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

I totally agree. I mean the Bible has been the most studied and scrutinized book for centuries. Modern Scholars to this day still debate its merits and we are trying to squeeze all of that into a few short posts.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

If God gives us free will to accept salvation, don’t we also have the free will to reject that salvation after receiving it? Again I would refer to the verses I provide make my point.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

I get the concept, but the issue I take is how it is being delivered. Paul’s ministry to the Gentiles was predicated on Christ’s ministry to the Jews. It’s like Jesus painted a picture and Paul colored it in. So my question would be for us Believers would be are we to follow the teachings of...

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

If we don’t put faith in Jesus words, how can one put their faith in Him? That makes no sense. When Jesus said “If you believe in me you believe the one that sent me” is not applicable? If you don’t know who He was or what He spoke of how could anyone accept Him? By that logic should we not part...

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

Don’t take this the wrong way, but this is what happens when someone jumps into the middle of a discourse. My posts were to a specific person. I’m not denying how the Gospel was given to the Gentiles.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

When we say Gospel, how are you defining that? When He spoke to the Israelites, he assured them that Kingdom of God had come. This was due to the prophecy concerning the Messiah through the line of David. To the Gentiles the Paul preached about the one true God and His gift of salvation. I get...

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

Which person? Noah believe God would save him from the flood. Abraham believed God would give him land and offspring. They put their faith in what God said He was going going to do.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

One couldn’t be saved unless atonement was made on his or her behalf by the High Priest. Faith was that God would fulfill His covenant with His people to which He did.

I have multiple conversations going on. I apologize. I’m not understanding in what context you are referring to those people.

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

Immd I’m disagreeing with the premise of dispensationalism as it stands. Yes, Jesus ministered to Jews. I don’t think anyone denies that here. My issue is the concept of two different forms of salvation; one for the Jews and one for Gentiles. And he died for all, that those who live should no...

I agree with that. What does that have to do with the topic at hand?

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

Yes you are. You take one phase and attribute that to something else. By trying to claim I’m denying scripture is an untruth. I reject your interpretation of it. See the difference?

Can One’s Salvation Be Given Up?

As I had stated previously, I don’t adhere to that doctrine. I haven’t seen any scripture to that gives any truth to that. I believe the concept of what happens with Israel was a noble attempt, but like most things it progressed in a very convoluted theology.

I’m denying you and your faulty reading and the application of them. And I highly doubt I’m the first person to deny your definition.
