Do you view Holy Communion as Literal or Symbolic?

No it doesn't. It puts it into context which is a meal and you never make a doctrine from one scripture or one passage of scripture.

Do you view Holy Communion as Literal or Symbolic?

Your comments are typical of those who ignore the teaching of scripture, preferring what the denomination teaches. 1. Holy communion (sic) has nothing at all to do with sanctification. At least not in the ten different versions of the Bible that I have. 2. Discerning the Lord's body is the...

Do you view Holy Communion as Literal or Symbolic?

Communion is one of those things that the church has turned into a necessary ritual to make our Christianity authentic. As you study scripture and the background to the New Testament Church which I have done, you will discover a lack of ritual. They had that under the law in Judaism, but the new...

A reply that basically says nothing. Apart from being totally gratuitous because you haven't got a Ph.D. to back your opinions, which are a non requirement if you want to achieve a Ph.D. You only get a Ph.D. if you present facts. Of course if you rely on opinions, facts do not haver much weight.

I led him to Christ, what should he do next?

It is more of a case of what YOU should do next? The scriptures do not tell us to go and make Christians. it tells us that we are to make disciples. So your job is to disciple him and make him a disciple.

I studied the subject for two years for a Ph.D. but did not find any evidence bread and wine was taken as a separate event. Hospitality was a given if you went to a Jewish home and they ALWAYS set out food and wine for the guest. Never a sip of wine and a piece of bread.
