Irony...

The Gospel is an open secret.

One can be looking at it and not see it.

Without grace = Will not see it.
With grace = Made able to see it.

Then the Holy Spirit does the work to bring us to Christ.

How one resists the Spirit may determine if one becomes a believer, or merely religious.

Worse yet, ending up like the degenerates found in Romans 1:20-22.

Which shows.... even though grace was given... men can still resist the Holy Spirit.

Resisting the Holy Spirit refers to rejecting or opposing the guidance and truth that the Holy Spirit provides, often seen in the context of refusing to accept God's message or instructions. This concept is highlighted in Acts 7:51, where it describes people as "stiff-necked" and "uncircumcised in heart and ears," indicating a refusal to listen to spiritual truth.

Grace and peace ......
The key however is that they might not see it but they are able to find it and listen to it or read about it.

I was making a comparison to their attempt trying to make it valid but you don't even understand it anyway yourself.
don't understand what exactly, that your saying a person can find the bible read the bible and understand it ?

I guess I'm dumb then.

You where being clever, you know you where, your answer was in relation to the gospel being hiden, and I'm saying an unbeliver can read the the bible, understand it for some part, but then lean on there own understanding.

Tell me is the gospel still hidden to them ?

The Gospel itself is not hidden because anyone can pick up the Bible and read it.
But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: in whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them
which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.

2 Corinthians 4 v 4 The god of this age has blinded the minds of unbelievers, so they cannot see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God.

No, you are not dumb so don't think that. I am saying you misunderstood so you just aren't getting it right now.

The first sentence begins with...but IF it be hid. That is not saying it is.

Practically every unbeliever we have contact with has heard the Gospel every Christmas season and Easter.

The Gospel is VERY simple.

You do not have to understand the Bible to be saved.
Just find yourself able to believe Jesus really lived and went to the Cross.

any person can read the gospel but what's hidden is the light from them. The light is there in the gospel, they see the light but it's still hiden from them because the light, the lord has not come to them.

The gospel is power to save, which means the light is the power.

No, your perspective and presentation is unique but largely grounded in Scripture still the same... what is amazing
is those who claim they are Christians saying things that are the opposite of what Scripture plainly says.

Like those who say everyone hears. That contradicts what Jesus said.

They don't care. They won't accept correction.

On the one hand they want us to believe they understand that which they oppose but on the other
hand they keep presenting material that shows they are completely ignorant of their own ignorance.

Either that or the material they present is designed to deceive. It could be both, actually.

Talking out of both sides of their mouth is not a good look for them, though.

Which is the essence of self-deception.

Actually yes. I said "God if you don't save me there is no-one who can." Guess what? He kept His word and saved me. It is quite biblical to cry out for salvation. How many verses would you like?

You do that do you, because it certainly doesn't show up in your posting.

Said many times we were drawn by His light and truth by means of grace. So God did most definitely "intervened".

No, it was God's grace and the only argument we have is with you and your constant lies and misrepresentations.

There never is with you is there. No matter how many times it is explained you carry on like the two monkeys, don't see and don't hear.

How about you try acting like the third one and zip it. :censored:

And please, do move along and go find yourself someone else to harass with your lies.

Have a real nice Day. :)

How in the world could it have ONLY by God's grace since that grace is totally ineffective? The only component to salvation that has efficacy to it, according to FWT, is man's "freewill", since all men are in total control of their eternal destiny.

You are on the right track because it takes God living inside you to reveal God in everything else.

How many types of freedom in your world exist? You are either free or you're not.

I answered your scripture. It doesn't mention our will either yet you want to berate me for my logic. Why don't you try reading how it begins ....

Romans 6:16-18
16 Don’t you know that when you offer yourselves to someone as obedient slaves, you are slaves of the one you obey—whether you are slaves to sin, which leads to death, or to obedience, which leads to righteousness? 17 But thanks be to God that, though you used to be slaves to sin, you have come to obey from your heart the pattern of teaching that has now claimed your allegiance. 18 You have been set free from sin and have become slaves to righteousness.

So please tell me how you are going to offer yourself if not from your free will? Being compelled to be a slave is not our offering.

None of us offered ourselves to be born sinners. We inherited that from Adam and had no choice in the matter. As people freed from sin we do have a choice, freely follow your flesh or freely follow the Spirit.

Your logic has a Clayton's freedom, it's the freedom you have when you don't have freedom.

There are three distinct kinds of soteriological freedom: There's freedom FROM the Penalty of sin (Justification), from the Power of sin (Sanctification) and from the Presence of sin (Glorification). You FWers steadfastly refuse to believe that the only way the will can truly be free is when the will is freed from the power of its bondage to its sin nature. You talk up freedom but it's always freedom TO do, never freedom from adverse influences or consequences. Of course, you can't believe that because then you'd be in the effectual grace camp that actually empowers the sinner's faculties in his heart to make righteous choices. And God forbid that He should force anyone to believe, right?

It is not sarcasm. Anything we do through our flesh is wood/hay/stubble. Human Good. Human deeds. Human works.............EVIL.

Adam and Eve making their own coverings..........Was EVIL. Not sin. It was their own human good works. It was unsatisfactory to a righteous God.

We can plead our case all we want. I raised honest and trustworthy kids. I never stole. I fed the poor. I gave to the poor. I quit smoking. I quit drinking. I went to church......I AM GOOD ENOUGH.

Matt 7:23
Then I will tell them plainly, ‘I never knew you. Away from me, you evildoers!’

Faith alone in Christ alone is the ONLY way.

Is that why you think God saved you: Because you're good enough? God saw merit in your life?
