Not the same for the Jew
So you think there is 2 gospels???
Do you care to expalin???
Be great if you could share how a Jew gets reborn instead of just saying it's not the same.
Not the same for the Jew
Good point. The context and even the verses themselves show to us that it was something else besides salvation the Lord predestinated:
Ephesians 1:5, 11
5 Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, ...
11 In whom also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestinated according to the purpose of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will:
Then we have this:
Romans 8:29 For whom he did foreknow, he also did predestinate to be conformed to the image of his Son, that he might be the firstborn among many brethren.
The eisegesist will vainly try to argue salvation into that verse and its context, but to no avail since the wording on the pages of my Bible don't conform to wishful thinking. Conformance to His image speaks of His glorified and perfect body and character of righteousness. The Greek speaks volumes more toward meaning when understood through a systematic study as opposed to the usual fare of pick-n-choose, theological hole digging.
Additionally, the context of the above verse is stated in verse 28, addressing those who love God, not pre-selected for salvation by God irrespective of their own choosing. Why people insist upon forcing that into the context without qualification...that speaks of an evil that grates against reason and the very justice of God.

He says CAN'T enter without being born of water and of spirit.

Not the same for the Jew
Not true.
I am a Jew.
I guess you have no idea how Jews today do not think like Jews in Jesus day.
Paul said that he was all things to all men.
There may be a different way to present the same Gospel.
Its like food. Different styles, but same beef.
Jesus was speaking of two births when witnessing to Nicodemus.
First birth = water.
That was when your mother broke water to have you born.
Many assume it means water baptism.
.....
I probably gained more enemies here....
Galatians 4:16 Am I therefore become your enemy, because I tell you the truth?
So your telling me that JESUS didn't know that Nicodemus was already born?
Did you know when we are born naturaly that is when we get our sins?
I have not yet seen the Truth you stated.
So...
Tell me then?
How is the Gospel different for the Jew?
I did not catch what you might have said in an earlier post.
So, please state it briefly again for me, please?
I mean this is basic common bible prophecy.
Nicodemus wondered the same thing.
That is when we get our fallen nature that will cause us to sin, which is to be found in the body.
So you really don't think we are born in sin, each of us generate our own.
For sure we generrate our own to add to those we are born with.
Psalms 51:5 - Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me
Romans 5:12 - Wherefore, as by one man sin entered into the world, and death by sin; and so death passed upon all men, for that all have sinned:

I wonder! Is it possible for a person to be among the worst sinners in the world and yet (1) believe in Christ, (2) have no desire for Him at all, (3) have no desire to please him, yet (4) truly understand that they will someday receive His punishment!I wonder if some think that belief isnt enough? Is it really that simple? Yes it is. Christ born of a virgin, crucified and ressurected. Believe that? Then your good.
The only sin we are born with is the sin of Adam.
It is why we are born fallen.

How can one be born again, the get unborn?!?! This logic would mean that we may get born again today, then tomorrow, because of some sin we have done get unborn again, then get back on our knees, and become born again! I dont buy it. I think if someone says they are born again, then backslide in a significant way over a long time period, then there would be a giant red flag concerning their salvation to begin with. I know all of us who are born again still continue to sin. And we may lose rewards in Heaven, yet still be saved. We all know there are the wheat and the tares in the body of Christ, so someone who professes Christ, then turns his back on Christ for an extended period sinning grievously, is probably just one of the tares. Can a once truly saved believer backslide too much and lose the gift of salvation? If so do they need to repent and ask for forgiveness through Christ again? Thoughts are welcome and scripture too!
You know it's quite refreshing to see you asking a question pleasantly, but then I wonder should i trust you will you still be pleasant if you don't like the answer ?Then why can't you say it?
I have no idea what you have accepted.
Tell me, please?
How is the Gospel different for the Jew?
If you do tell me?
It may stop a misunderstanding that your silence is causing for some of us.
