The idea that Abraham was made righteous by the faith of Jesus is not explicitly stated in the Bible.
Righteousness is not by faith IN Jesus Christ, it is imputed from the faith OF Jesus Christ.
I believe that it is stated, but to gain a correct understanding we must compare the spiritual with the spiritual as I have tired to reflect below. Please read each carefully, because each provides a piece of the doctrine even though it might not immediately seem so. I can explain further after you read them if you'd like.
[Gal 2:16 KJV]
16 Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law,
but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.
[Rom 4:9 KJV]
9 [Cometh] this blessedness then upon the circumcision [only], or upon the uncircumcision also?

[Rom 4:13 KJV]
13 For the promise, that he should be the heir of the world, [was] not to Abraham, or to his seed, through the law,

[Rom 1:17 KJV]
17 For therein is the

[Rom 3:22 KJV]
22
Even the righteousness of God [which is] by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
[Rom 5:17 KJV]
17 For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace
and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life
by one, Jesus Christ.)
[1Co 1:30 KJV]
30 But of him are ye in
Christ Jesus, who of God is made unto us wisdom, and
righteousness, and sanctification, and redemption
:
[Phl 3:9 KJV] 9 And be found
in him,
not having mine own righteousness, which is of the law, but that which is through the faith of Christ, the righteousness which is of God by faith:
