you mean you only accept that kind of condescending talk from FE videos?
FE's entire schtick is that you guys know some secret-and-simultaneously-obvious gnostic truth but 90% of the world's population is too stupid not to be hoodwinked, and that the bulk of the entire global economy and all governments at every level ((which are simultaneously ridiculously inept and idiotic but also extraordinarily shrewd and capable conspirators?)) are devoted to deceiving us about something we can verify by simply watching the sun rise.
does the sun rise today?
does it start as a dot larger than a planet, 30 degrees above the horizon that grows brighter and bigger as light inexplicably fills the world?
no?
what? it's a full-size disc rising little by little above the horizon which obscures it?
huh.
well then, the earth is not flat.
All right, so here we go. First off, Professor Dave is as dishonest as they come.
Yes, 250 mph jet streams exist, despite what he says. Source? Here: https://web.archive.org/web/2008072...onomy/solarsystem/jupiter_sidebar_000209.html
Planes can also fly pretty fast, up to 800mph for a passenger plane utilizing a jet stream. Source? Here: https://aviation.stackexchange.com/...ommercial-passenger-aircraft-top-speed-record
Notice how Professor Dave draws that loooong arc from South America to Australia and says it's ridiculous to go that route. He also asserts that planes ARE going that route, and therefore they must be flying over a globe because that route only makes sense on a globe. BUT FLAT EARTHERS DENY THAT PLANES ARE FLYING THAT ROUTE IN THE FIRST PLACE. On a flat earth, straight line vectors are the fastest routes between points, unless there are jet streams that can be utilized to facilitate flight paths.
This great video discusses a path that's similar to the one that Professor Dave cleverly obfuscates in his video:
Now, I personally fact checked that first flight path, Buenas Aires, Argentina to Cape Town, Africa. I did so by looking up tickets for that route. Here's what we end up with.
Buenas Aires, BR -> Cape Town, SA
34 hours 50 minutes
2 stopovers:
Sao Paulo 1 h 15
Addis Ababa 12 h 30
Subtract out the layover times and you get about 21 hours and change for this flight, too long.
BUT NOTICE THE SECOND LAYOVER. Addis Ababa.... in ETHIOPIA. Now get a globe and tell me how that makes sense.
I don't see any possibility of getting anywhere with you. Your attitude is consistent . . . cause trouble, that's what you do. Therefore, let's just stop pretending that we're "Brothers in Christ." I feel no sense of Brotherhood from you in the least.
It's not a religion of 'niceness' we believe, but one of truth.
It's not a religion of 'niceness'
Jesus literally whipped the money changers.
So he made a whip out of cords, and drove all from the temple courts, both sheep and cattle; he scattered the coins of the money changers and overturned their tables.

We are to follow the footsteps of Christ AFTER he was hauled away, not before.
1 Peter 2:21-24 NKJV - "For to this you were called, because Christ also suffered for us, leaving us an example, that you should follow His steps: 22 "Who committed no sin, Nor was deceit found in His mouth"; 23 who, when He was reviled, did not revile in return; when He suffered, He did not threaten, but committed [Himself] to Him who judges righteously; 24 who Himself bore our sins in His own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness--by whose stripes you were healed."
We have never been called to "whip people." Good grief.
Yes, I am a serious flat earther. Yes, I answered your questions to the best of my ability. Thanks for your response. I'm bringing an open mind to your answer and see if it lines up with the question, but before I do that, I have two questions, so no time is wasted.
1. Do you really believe in the Flat Earth and this isn't some sort of parody for a cheap laugh? Maybe I'm missing the joke, so just want to confirm this.
2. You honestly believe you answered the questions about the flights close to Antarctica in the video, and that you specifically directed your answer to those flight or flights?
I'm serious about this discussion, just want to make your sure serious about your answers. Please answer simply with a yes or no. I think these questions should be easily be answered with a yes or no.
Your understanding is quite narrow.
A "geostationary satellite" is a balloon that is hanging in one spot. Others are in motion, following the circular paths of the jet streams over the flat earth disk. Others have guidance systems and propulsion. This technology is sophisticated. We're not talking hot air balloons in the lower atmosphere.wow, LOL!!
i look at the sky a lot. i live a fair piece from cities.
a balloon in the sky looks almost stationary. its motion is relatively very slow, and unpredictable. it's subject to wind
a satellite zips across the sky faster than a jet plane. its motion is a highly predictable & controlled, in an orbital path.
i've seen both.
try again -- no, just stop trying.
Yes, I am a serious flat earther. Yes, I answered your questions to the best of my ability.
I'll echo what another flat earth truther once said: We can see the deception behind the globe, but that doesn't mean we have all the answers to everything.
However, if you carefully consider the materials I posted for you with an open mind, I think you will come away with just a bit of a new perspective.
Take your time, friend. After all, you have been taught one thing for a whole lifetime, like we all were. This site is a good place to slake your curiosity.Fair enough. It might take me some time to get back to you with my conclusions of your defence of the flat earth model, but will look at it, and try to honestly see your perspective in light of the question asked.
I do hope for a mercy killing of the flat earth theory, that would put a smile on my face, but need to fair and try to be unbiased. It's gonna be difficult, yet fun at the same time to see where this leads me. lol

No one flat earther has all the answers, so you've got to take the good and leave the bad, but this is absolutely the best serious flat earth site I have encountered and a lot of the truly great serious flat earthers have videos here.
I used this site as a branching out point and looked up individual flat earthers' channels and websites from here when I wanted more information.
You've made this abundantly clear, for you do not follow the Holy Words of Paul.
2 Timothy 2:25 NLT - "Gently instruct those who oppose the truth. Perhaps God will change those people's hearts, and they will learn the truth."
I am, however, going to follow the Holy Words of Paul and walk away from sharing with you. I find your "way" to be distasteful and upsetting.

weren't you earlier boasting about be one of a gang of scoffers in a youtube comment feed? what measure you want to be judged by, you ought judge. or judge not: yet tell the season by the observation of it.
People in general used to be more respectful and friendly. I blame decades of propaganda (both outside AND inside the church) for the unfortunate polarization of society we see today.Furthermore, the YT channel for which the group was commenting, it was a "worldly" group. Not one person was bad-mouthed. We were simply executing remarkable humor. For the duration of likely an hour and a half, no one was ever offended or harmed. We attacked no one . . . and like I said, this was a "worldly" group.
You know, back in the day when I was drinking, I could enter a bar and begin a friendly chat with just about anyone there. And who were they? Likely alcoholics just like myself. We could talk about virtually anything; anything at all and I don't ever recall there being any hostility shared. But at this place? Man, if a Christian wants to be verbally assaulted, this is the place to come.
Congrats for making CC miserable.
