Thankyou for the rep. The true mission is preparing children to to make a difference and as global citizens to successfully face the challenges of their times. Not only in the present time, but looking back, I can see the amazing difference we've made.

Believe me. It's not just the Blue states that are brain washing our kids with the fascism of "social justice".

Parents have to become much more active if they send their kids to public school in the garbage they are being taught, and unfortunately have to regularly deprogram them.

Are there some good and decent teachers that care and don't want to go along with this JUNK , of course there are! But their hands are tied, and they are threatened with job loss.

You would be MUCH better off going to a well researched private school or better yet, Home School. I know they have a "gun" to your head in not being able to opt out of your school tax bill, but it is still worth it.
BUMP for clarification! Since that's a thing now. And also to show you the end result in College of the indoctrination kids receive starting in Grammar School:

Just found another video on youtube about the kids who bullied the shooter named Nickolas Cruz. The person who put the video together took different news reports and put them together. I'm questioning why the main stream media has not brought any of this info out. Another reason I don't listen to main stream media news anymore.

It's very sad and goes to show the kind of kids who are being pumped out the public liberal run schools here in the U.S. . Bullying is running rampant in our schools too. Many teens have been taught they don't have to obey rules.

By stark contrast, in a few months our students are taking a special journey for learning. Lilla is an indigenous community that will be explored by flying through Ayres Rock and hiking in Kata Tjuta. Espousing and practicing the values of being global change makers, nurturing and developing the spiritual dimension of students, it provides opportunities and experiences that enable them to look beyond their own concerns and engage with the needs of others. Through social justice initiatives, students are develop an awareness of the needs of others and are empowered to find ways to help disadvantaged members of the community. It's this philosophy and practice that helps cull any aforementioned disastrous issues and outcomes in schools with students who require engagement at the local, national and international level.

That is a major contrast from what's been going on here in the U.S. I have no idea what it's like for a teacher like you in your country. Or actually in any other country besides here in America.

Have you ever heard of a woman named Lauren Southern? She is a journalist and reporter who was banned from Great Britain (I think GB) for hate speech. She and a few others that are speaking up bringing news to the forefront that is not get being reported on the world news stations.

She recently did a documentary of South Africa and how people are being killed over there in some major race wars. So much of what is going on in the world is not obviously seen. Much is covered up and when uncovered is misrepresented. It's like layers of news that we took for granted to be true was not at all.

When my son went to Iraq many of these issues were forced on our family to see through and often seen around., looking under and through the smoke screen of what was being told to us. I often find myself needing to step back from the reality of the world news and know that Jesus is the bigger reality and has won the real war for me and all of us believers.

Today in America, we have A Crisis of Angry Ignorance of history
-
September 2016 History Enrollments Drop

The American Historical Association (aha) released a report showing that between
the 2012–2013 school year and the 2014–2015 school year, there was a 7.6 percent
decline in undergraduate enrollments in history.

Millennials showed a marked disinterest in learning about history at the secondary level.
Fewer young people learning from the past may explain why a rising minority are more
accepting of military coups and authoritarian regimes. It is easy to believe an alternative
to democracy is better when you don’t understand it.

x

In a July 2016 report titled “The Danger of Deconsolidation,” Harvard University researcher
Yascha Mounk and University of Melbourne political scientist Roberto Stefan Foa explored
some dangerous trends among American millennials.
http://www.journalofdemocracy.org/sites/default/files/Foa&Mounk-27-3.pdf

The researchers drew their data from World Values Surveys of Europe and America between
1995 and 2014. The data showed that many millennials (those born in the 1980s and 1990s)
are increasingly supportive of political radicalism and autocratic alternatives to democracy.

The study showed that while 43 percent of older Americans object to the idea of a military
coup, only 19 percent of millennials do. A disturbingly high number of millennials in America
look more and more favorably upon undemocratic governments.

The study also points out that only around 30 percent of millennials see the civil rights
guaranteed by the U.S. Constitution as “absolutely essential” in democracy. Around
a quarter of U.S. millennials believe that free elections are not important to a democracy.

x

However, even if someone is interested in learning history at American universities,
what sort of courses can they find?

The Rise and Decline of History Specializations over the Past 40 Years
https://www.historians.org/publicat...istory-specializations-over-the-past-40-years

Faculty specializing in legal and constitutional history declined .
Faculty specializing in intellectual history have declined drastically.
Diplomatic and economic history also declined.

One core history subject that increased over the past 40 years was military history.

History studies regarding women and gender increased.
Race and ethnicity studies grew, environmental history grew.

These increases in specialized history have been accompanied by a decrease in
the education of fundamental, core subjects vital to national well-being, such as
the Constitution, the Civil War, and general history of Western civilization.

So much of the decline of modern Western society can be traced back to the breakdown
of the family. Previous studies revealed that a third of American children are growing up
without their biological father.

Only half of America’s children are now being raised by their biological married parents,
according to the Institute for Family Studies (ifs).

1-in-2: A New Estimate of the Share of Children Being Raised by Married Parents
https://ifstudies.org/blog/1-in-2-a...e-of-children-being-raised-by-married-parents

The ifs analyzed the 2016 results of the National Household Education Surveys Program,
published February 9, which revealed the family situations of 17-to-18-year-olds.

Fifty percent of these students lived with married parents. Nearly 30 percent lived in single-parent
homes, with their biological mother (23 percent) or father (6 percent). Another 15 percent lived in
nontraditional two-parent families, such as one biological parent and a stepparent (11 percent),
cohabiting birth parents (2 percent), heterosexual adoptive couple (1 percent), and same-sex
couple (1 percent). The remaining 6 percent lived with neither birth parent.

The ifs drew attention to the data because other studies show the importance of being raised
in a stable, loving home by two married parents. As their report noted:

"Is growing up with married birth parents advantageous for a young person’s school success and
later life chances? There is abundant evidence that it is. As shown in numerous analytic studies,
students with stably-married parents are more likely to do well in school and less likely to cut
classes, repeat grades, be suspended or expelled, or drop out.

And significant advantages persist after controlling for related factors like parent education level,
family income and poverty status, student race and ethnicity, parent involvement, and teacher or
school quality. Rich or poor, this is a type of advantage which parents from all social classes can
bestow upon their children: the privilege of a growing up in a stable, married two-parent family.

Today in America, only about 1 in 2 children enjoy this privilege. Because the type of family in which
children are raised matters a great deal to their well-being and future success, we should seek ways
to enable less-educated and less-affluent parents to raise their children together in a stable family."
x

Why does a stable marriage help make children successful? Because marriage is more than a social
institution that evolved over time. It was created by God. He designed it to be a stable institution to
raise children, and a child’s success [is] linked to growing up with both genders in there proper role.

Children who grow up without a father figure are four times likelier to be poor, nine times likelier to
drop out of school, 11 times likelier to commit violent crimes, and 20 times likelier to be arrested.
There is a direct link between the fracturing of families and major societal problems.

Former president Barack Obama’s new Youth Movement

At a conference in Japan, he said he wanted to create “a million young Barack Obamas
or Michelle Obamas.” He announced that the Obama Foundation—a Chicago-based
nonprofit founded in 2014—would be his primary platform for accomplishing this dream.

Former President Barack Obama says he aspires to create "a million young Barack Obamas
or Michelle Obamas" who will pick up the baton in what he describes as the "relay race that
is human progress."

During the discussion, Obama praised the teens taking part in the March for
Our Lives movement and demanding more restrictions on firearm ownership.

He said that a “lot of our problems are caused by old men.”
-

The children’s crusade for more firearm restrictions is similar to the political youth movement
for socialism led by Sen. Bernie Sanders. Both movements seek to elevate the opinions of
children above the work of America’s Founding Fathers.

Both movements seek to create a better world by stripping more rights from individuals
and giving that power to an increasingly dominant central government.

know what those terms mean,” wrote the foundation in response to the survey’s findings.

Study: top colleges don't require US history courses for history majors
https://www.campusreform.org/?ID=7786

Many institutions instead specify that history majors must take classes in areas outside of
the United States. History majors at Williams College have the option of taking “Soccer
and History in Latin America: Make the Beautiful Game” and students at Swarthmore may
enroll in “Modern Addiction: Cigarette Smoking in the 20th Century” in order to fulfill history
major requirements.

According to the study, of the 23 programs that do list a requirement for US history,
11 allow courses that are narrow in scope.

“Hip-Hop, Politics, and Youth Culture in America" and “Mad Men and Man Women” are classes
that fulfill the American history requirement at University of Connecticut and Middlebury College,
respectively, instead of courses that cover subjects such as the Revolutionary War or the
Emancipation Proclamation.

In the direction of becoming indoctrination centers? Absolutely, yes, at least in many of the "blue" states.

The universities most definitely have, and from watching news stories, and reading reports from angry parents, it appears that the trend toward teaching liberalism/socialism has reached even elementary school levels.

One of the more notorious ones mentioned in the press a few years back was the way the curriculum promoted homosexuality as being normal, with grade schoolers being assigned to read a book called "Heather Has Two Mommies", or something like that.

There are many, many more examples that could likely be found with little effort.
Oh really?! I did not know of that! Promoting homosexuality seems really unhealthy to me.

Oh that's right. Your country is a big Island that doesn't have to worry about other "cultures" invading it illegally. And of course, you have one of the strictest immigration systems on Earth. But you do excel at criticizing the Nation that has more or less spent trillions of dollars, and spilled immense blood, to keep evil at bay in the World,

yea right little boy blue and the man on the moon. now for real news ...
Do you know grade school books are sending 4 year olds to mental health offices?

One of the more notorious ones mentioned in the press a few years back was the way the

Yes America has lost the Gay battle long ago, now "Transgender" is doing the same.

Oh really?! I did not know of that! Promoting homosexuality seems really unhealthy to me.
Yes even Transgender Children’s Books are Encourage on our children.
And Encouraging Gender Fluidity in schools Is just plain Child Abuse.

Primary schools in the United Kingdom are being encouraged to include books about
transgender parents and children in their curriculum, the Times of London reported
on December 13. According to the new memo from the National Association of Head
Teachers (naht), dress codes should also be changed to allow students and teachers
to dress according to their preferred gender. “Trans people, [their] issues and
experiences,” should be celebrated, not just accepted, it stated.
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/edition/...ks-in-primary-schools-teachers-told-qn27mljqj

The document continued: “Primary school leaders may want to ensure books
featuring trans parents or celebrating gender identity and difference are included
in the curriculum.” This is to ensure that transgender children or children with
transgender parents “feel included in their learning” and teachers “feel positively
represented in lesson content.”

Headteachers say school books should feature trans parents - what do you think?
http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/news/north-east-news/headteachers-say-school-books-should-14031365

When pupils see staff members are able to be authentic about themselves within
the school community and are treated with equal respect and acceptance, they are
more likely to feel able to be authentic and open themselves as well as encouraged
to treat all members of the school community with equal respect.
-

In some UK primary schools and nurseries, children as young as 3 are being
read books filled with transgender ideas.
https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/gather-round-class-thomas-the-teddy-wants-to-be-a-girl-jlrzjn27k

In one book, Red: A Crayon’s Story by author Michael Hall, a blue crayon is mislabeled
with a red label during manufacturing. According to the crayon’s red label, it should be able
to draw red pictures. However, everything that it draws is blue. The other school supplies
try to help the red crayon draw red pictures, but they finally realize that the unhappy red
crayon is actually a blue crayon, after all. And everyone lives happily ever after.

In another book, a teddy bear named Thomas announces to his friend that he is really a
girl teddy bear inside. “I wish my name was Tilly, not Thomas,” he says. A picture book
intended for younger children, “Are You a Boy or Are You a Girl?” encourages small
children to explore their gender identity through the story of the character Tiny,
a gender dysphoric child.

These innocuous-appearing books carry a potent message
indoctrinating young children with transgender ideas.

The books are on reading lists for nurseries and primary schools provided by Educate
and Celebrate, an organisation funded by the Department for Education (DfE) to help
schools prevent homophobia and transphobia. The charity has already supported dozens
of primary and secondary schools to adopt gender-neutral lavatories and uniforms.
-

Some parents and teachers are concerned that the school system
is introducing children to these ideas at too young of an age.

They say that it introduces unnecessary confusion into children’s minds. One National
Health Service (nhs) survey given to students as young as 10 in some British schools
asked them to fill out a questionnaire about their gender. It included questions like,

“‘Do you feel the same inside as the gender you were born with? (Feeling male or female)
” It also asked students to check the box for their correct gender: girl, boy or other.

In August this year, parents of children enrolled in a California elementary school
were outraged after a kindergarten lesson included a student’s transgender reveal.

The teacher read Red: A Crayon’s Story and another transgender children’s book
to the class before introducing a child to the class as a boy. The boy left the class-
room and returned wearing a dress. The teacher then reintroduced him as a girl.

According to Dr. Michelle Cretella, the president of the American College of Pediatricians,
children don’t really understand the permanence of gender until they are 6 or 7 years old.

Introducing confusion before that age almost guarantees that more children
will become gender confused. What if Your Child is “Gender Confused”?
What if Your Child is “Gender Confused”?

Between 2010 and 2016, nhs gender clinics in the UK have experienced a 930 percent
increase in the number of children referred to the clinics. Of those children, three were

The U.S. and Britain are in this together. This year, California became the first U.S.
state to approve the use of “lgbt-inclusive history textbooks” in its elementary schools.

Rick Zbur, executive director of Equality California, said that the landmark decision means
that “California schools will now have access to approved materials that accurately represent
lgbtq people.” These history textbooks are for children in kindergarten through eighth grade.

Forcing Transgender Ideology on Kindergartens
http://www.nationalreview.com/article/450911/transgender-kindergarten-california-kookery

An article in the National Review about the new naht guidelines stated:
Incidents such as these are bound to multiply as the left becomes bolder, insisting not only
on “proper” pronoun usage in every public forum, but also, increasingly, on indoctrinating
young people into a left-wing view of gender and sexuality. Students and parents at Rocklin
Academy learned the hard way. Parents everywhere else should beware.

That is a legitimate concern. As the article’s title itself states, the government is now
forcing transgender ideology on kindergarteners, even without parental approval.
Increasingly, parents are afraid to speak out because they fear being labeled as bigots.

‘Let Boys Be Girls. Or Goys or Birls’
Society is coming to embrace the notion of ‘gender fluidity.’
https://www.thetrumpet.com/10874-let-boys-be-girls-or-goys-or-birls

These social engineers want you to think their cause is all about inclusion and tolerance.
But if you disagree with them, they have no tolerance for you. … The only victory is
complete victory. Until transgender crusaders achieve this utterly impossible goal—
every individual a true believer—they will continue their battle, using every tool of
coercion they can summon.

Sex is a biological truth, not an option. Teaching children that they can ignore the facts
of biology is teaching them that nothing is concrete—that there is no truth—that you
can do whatever is right in your own eyes (Judges 17:6; 21:25). Such thinking has
catastrophic consequences.

Here is the truth. Genesis 1:27 says, “So God created man in his own image,
in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.”
God made two sexes—and only two. Teaching young children that they can be whatever
gender they want destroys the family, destroys truth, and destroys children’s lives—
one gender-confused child at a time.
-

The University of California–San Francisco director of mental health now claims that
2-year-olds can know they are transgender. According to Dr. Diane Ehrensaft, a 2-year
-old boy can know he should have been born a girl, and a girl can know, at 2, that she
should have been born a boy.

“We expect a 2-year-old to know ‘I am boy. I am girl,’” she explained.
“So why can’t that also apply to transgender children?”

Child Psychology Gone Mad. How can a 2-year-old girl playing with her
brother’s cars or trucks represent gender confusion?

“These professionals are using the myth that people are born transgender to justify engaging
in massive, uncontrolled and unconsented experimentation on children who have a psychological
condition that would otherwise resolve after puberty in the vast majority of cases,” warns Cretella.

“Today’s institutions that promote transition affirmation are pushing children to impersonate the
opposite sex, sending many of them down the path of puberty blockers, sterilization, the removal
of healthy body parts, and untold psychological damage”. This is just mass child abuse.

Getting angry with you for teaching is insane imo. You are not the parents of these children, you are the teacher who sees the fall out of the way the world is today...and are doing what you were trained to do.
Parents can't be angry with teachers for having been given the parent's job. I see it as the parents fault if its anyone's fault and if fault must be appointed on someone.

Those that are not absentee parents are very angry with the public school system for teaching children outside of reading..writing and arithmetic. (they shouldn't be)

There is no solution to this IMO except for parents to teach their own kids if they don't want the public school system to do it.
start with your own children and grandchildren to represent your beliefs and not put them through the government or private schooling system but be home schooled.
Spot on Joanie. Where there's an absence of awareness and education on the adults behalf in general, disciplines and in respect to what the system involves, it places you in a position to feel compassion for any defensiveness shown.

Our schools take on a collaborative approach between the child, the family and the school's leading teachers, who, together, are guided through the curriculum. The student's passions are an integral part of the program to ensure the learning both inspires and meets their individual needs. Based on thorough investigation, schools chose to draw on a range of perspectives to provide a proven program that encompasses an inclusive, caring philosophy and offers the best possible outcomes.
