Although the school's student population boasts many faiths and cultures, it is based on Christian traditions which is a core part of the curriculum taught daily.
It used to be Laura., but today it's changing most drastically. I've noticed especially here in the United States our core values are being swept away. We Christians know that Jesus is the only way but we can't tell about Jesus. We can talk about the God of the world that everyone thinks about yes., That god is about many things., but that god is not Jesus. This is the form of god in the world that never comes to the knowledge of the Truth in Christ. There is one truth not many truths about how to come to God. That truth is Jesus.
2 Timothy 3:5
[SUP]5 [/SUP]For [although] they hold a form of piety (true religion), they deny
and reject
and are strangers to the power of it [their conduct belies the genuineness of their profession]. Avoid [all] such people [turn away from them].
[SUP]
6 [/SUP]For among them are those who worm their way into homes and captivate silly
and weak-natured
and spiritually dwarfed women, loaded down with [the burden of their] sins [and easily] swayed
and led away by various evil desires
and seductive impulses.
[SUP]
7 [/SUP][These weak women will listen to anybody who will teach them]; they are forever inquiring
and getting information, but are never able to arrive at a recognition
and knowledge of the Truth.
These "silly woman" remind me of the people who want to be taken care of in our country. When people are afraid they rush to the ones who they believe will help and save them.
Religion can't save anyone. Only Jesus can and God the Father sent Him to show Himself. Jesus is God's express image. When we want to see the Father we are told to look at the Son., Jesus. The world won't do this or preach this. They talk about a form of godliness but deny the power which is Jesus. 2 Cor.4:4
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For the god of this world has blinded the unbelievers’ minds [that they should not discern the truth], preventing them from seeing the illuminating light of the Gospel of the glory of Christ (the Messiah), Who is the Image
and Likeness of God.
[SUP]
5 [/SUP]For what we preach is not ourselves but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves [merely] as your servants (slaves) for Jesus’ sake.
[SUP]
6 [/SUP]For God Who said, Let light shine out of darkness, has shone in our hearts so as [to beam forth] the Light for the illumination of the knowledge of the majesty
and glory of God [as it is manifest in the Person and is revealed] in the face of
Jesus Christ (the Messiah).
[SUP]
7 [/SUP]However, we possess this precious treasure [the divine Light of the Gospel] in [frail, human] vessels of earth, that the grandeur
and exceeding greatness of the power may be shown to be from God and not from ourselves.
