And such were some of you,. But you were washed, But you were sanctified, but you were justified in the name of Christ.

It did not say they stopped. It said they were forgiven and the sins wer4e washed away.

Unless your sinless. Every time you spout this nonsense, you condemn yourself. Because you are just as guilty as they were, in fact, as we ALL ARE.
People who 'live like this' will not inherit the kingdom of God. But you are saying people who do 'live like this' will inherit the kingdom of God. Who do we listen to, you, or Paul?

Do you 'live like this'? I don't. I sin, but I do not live in it. Do you? God's grace doesn't make it so you can 'live like this' and still enter the kingdom of God. "Do not be deceived"-vs.9.

No. The above did not answer my question in context. You are just reiterating your point. To which I responded show anyone on here who says that once s person who is saved they can do what they want. Then I asked.

The other way that believers abuse grace is by rejecting it.
They feel they have to earn it. They are told they have to earn it. The harder toy work the more God will love you.
There is nothing wrong with works. It's why we do those works?

So grace can be abused on both sides of the coin and not just one.
Note eternally-gratefull talking about how the saved person will have works and then turning right around and defending the person who doesn't have works as being saved when Jesus comes back too. He can deny it all he wants but he's saying you can 'live like this' and you will inherit the kingdom while the Bible says the exact opposite.

The man at Corinth who was living in sin had to die to the flesh "so that he be saved"-vs.5. He was not going to be saved when Jesus came back had he not stopped 'living like this'.

Let's reverse it.
How valuable are works without faith?

We can work all we want but it means nothing.
Pharisees come to mind.

Faith produces works, works do not produce faith.

We are saved by works to do good works.
Amen, Scripture states our works are as filthy rags, Jesus said many will come with their work, ands he will say depart.

Works apart from faith are meaningless.

when we stand in front of God on judgment day, We will stand and be judged for our crimes. How many works we did is not going to have any affect. Our crimes have to be paid for. If jesus death is not applied to them, we will pay for them ourselves. And that will be eternal punishment.

Interesting that Paul didn't say, BUT YOU STOPPED DOING ALL THOSE THINGS.

No, instead, he says, you were WASHED.

---

It's also interesting that his answer to sexual immorality in the same chapter, was, do you not know that your body IS the temple of the Holy Spirit?

It's very clear in this context that even sexual immorality does not stop your body from being the temple of the Holy Spirit.

---

Paul's letters are very Grace-centered, so if you wish to continue attacking the Gospel, go pick James or something else you can at least get the consolation of feeling right, if for a few.

You are poorly informed and working on very little knowledge on the Grace gospel is counter-productive.

You are certainly free to think that continuing to 'live in' the sin that God delivered you from will not stop you from being saved when Jesus comes back. But that makes Paul a liar for saying those who live in sin as a matter of lifestyle will not inherit the kingdom. There is a big difference between still sinning and living in sin. God's grace covers you when you sin, not when you take up residence in your sin thinking God's grace makes it so you can do that and still be saved.

So, I was just dropping by (before I got distracted) to say that I bought myself a Kindle!!! And I'm so excited to read some more!!!

Also, here's a testimony from me and a friend, this week we've both overcome two things that have been plaguing us both in different ways. Jesus delivered me from something challenging and personal and I'm just glad knowing that He never leaves me nor forsakes me, not because of my ability or inability to do what is right but because Jesus bore my inabilities, weaknesses, imperfections on the Cross and has paid for all my sins, FOREVER. This is GOOD NEWS!

I think you and many others are the one's that are misinformed. God's grace does not make it so you can continue in your old life and you still be saved. You can not decide it's okay to be gay, or an adulterer, or idolatrous, or greedy, or a lover of this world, etc. because God's grace makes it so you don't pay the penalty for doing those things. God's grace was given to you to be free of those things, not make it so you can live in those things and be saved despite doing those things as a matter of lifestyle.

John 13:10 He who is bathed needs only to wash his feet, but is completely clean.
Certainly true. And the person who is unchanged and living his old life as a matter of lifestyle is showing that he is not bathed. Get it?

What does the level of financial living location have to do with living in sin. There are multi millionaire preaches who do virtually everything against what Messiah says, they live in some of the most affluent places around...
Why do y9ou keep demanding ANYONE in CC is teaching it is ok to live in sin?

A few people are so out to focus on performance, they can not see reality of what true faith does to a person.

The sinning man at Corinth had to die to his flesh so that he be saved. That's what the grace of God in salvation is. Dying to the flesh, through faith in Christ, not works, so that you be saved.

Ok I see Fran being bought up. Let's leave that alone.
Despite what people think she is a child of our Father.
I am still in contact with her. I'm here because she asked me to come over. We do not agree with all things. I'm OSAS, She is not

But when I went onto the forum (not this one) she was the first to greet meet me.

She was the first to assure me that when I felt I had lost my salvation because I stopped going to church but still believe in Jesus but was hurting she said "you haven't lost your salvation, glad you are here"

Fran suffered like we all do. When we feel attacked what do we do?

We attack ourselves. Good your hand up if your not guiltily of this.
I'm sitting on mine.

Let's leave her out of this as she is not here to defend herself.
Hey bro, you may not have been here. Fran and another poster ( I can not remember his nic) would continually say their freind “Ralph” would come into CC and set me and DC straight. Then all of a sudden, this guy “Ralph” shows up. They even pretty much admitted it was not a real person. But someone they made up. That is why people think it is fran (or that other person) and Ralph are one and the same.

Pretty much, they made their bed, now they have to sleep in it.

It is incumbent upon the untold thousands of Christians to show they really have been saved and will be saved when Jesus returns by heeding the scriptures that warn us that lawless perverts, adulterers, fornicators, thieves, drunks, gossips, hateful, idolatrous, greedy, impure people will NOT inherit the kingdom of God. Instead these untold thousands of Christians have decided those warnings don't apply to them and that them acting like that doesn't show either way if they really have been born again and that they will be saved when Jesus comes back regardless.
It is? So God needs proof we had true faith? Not sure where you get this view we must prove our faith. But it is a dangerous view. And states emphatically God is not smart enough to know who has real faith vs those who do not.

Veiled eyes, brother. But what we're doing here on CC is planting seeds of faith, it's up to them what they wanna do with it. We get to live with confidence, while they continue walking the defeated path.

So many people are so out to focus on non-performance that they can not see the reality of what true faith does to a person.

This defense of non performance is hardly what the gospel is all about. The gospel is about being set free from sin through faith in Christ, not works, so that you be saved. The person who does not die to the flesh but instead lives in it will not be saved when Jesus comes back. Grace does not make it so you can stay in your sin and still be saved. If that were true the man at Corinth would not have to die to his flesh to be saved.

You have no idea what you're talking about.

Anyway, forgive me if I sound a bit rude but the fact that you're agreeing with me here and disagreeing on others' mean you're confused or have no idea what I'm talking about either.

You keep trying to twist what was stated. This makes me wonder about your intentions.

What does the Bible state.
1. To be saved a person has to accept Jesus as his savior.
2. People accepting Christ will try to do good works.
3. God sees our good works as dirty rags since he sees our impure hearts contaminating them.

Thus proving any persons attempting to go to heaven based on works will fail. Having looked at myself and seen evidence of this I give thanks that Jesus paid the penalty for my sins since I have so many. Self examination in light of the law is devastating. My ego gets in the way.
Thanks, You just showed you had no idea what I was saying.

Here is the truth

1. God offered his gift, but will not force anyone to take it, Only those who TRUST him completely will recieve it
2. Those who recieve it WILL have a changed life (produce works)
3. There are some who do not have faith, and think they have to work to EARN or MAITNAIN salvation, it is THESE WORKS which God sees as bloody rags, Because these works will not make up for one sin, let alone the probably millions of sin all people have commit4d their whole life.

Please. If you misunderstand something, ask, Donl;t just assume.

Trust me, if you think grace makes it so you can live in sin and still be saved you are the one that can not see.
