We all learn. When we are born again and become a child of Christ, we are like new babes. First we feed on the milk and then the strong meat. Our walk with Christ is a continual learning curve as we become more like him. I thank God I am more content and at peace than I have ever been as I trust in Him.
Yep, that is what I think. To love is not an easy task, need to learn, specially to love like Jesus it extremely difficult, love to the point sacrifice Himself on the cross for His enemy.

I find myself hard to sacrifice my toll or money for my neighbor that always steal.

To be Christ like is not easy.

No we cannot and therefore we follow Jesus' example and His commands. We have the inspired word of God written by men under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit to teach us how to build up the kingdom by adding would into it daily such as should be saved! This we do in sharing His love and His word! It is not His will that ANY SHOULD PERISH BUT THAT ALL SHOULD BE SAVED. We however can DO nothing to earn our salvation, but we put on His righteousness! Then we follow His commands to love God and our neighbor and fulfill the "Great Commission" which in essence is working to carry on the work He started. It is His legacy,we are His offspring! SHALL WE NOT BE ABOUT THE FATHERS BUSINESS ALSO! Peace and love fellow travellers! 🌐🌐🌐
I think there is bit misanderstanding in this part

Salvation not by work, but we have to follow His command to love Him, and to love Him need a lot of work.

For example Jesus command to preach the gospel and it is a lot of work, like Paul, did, not an easy work, Paul have to go to jail for this work.

I know sal cation not by work, in the sense if we die 2 second after accepting Jesus we go to heaven, but if we still live, we have to love God and neighbor, it is a work.

Trust in Jesus who said, "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid." (Joh 14:27 KJV)

Excuse me for butting in! I think we all are saying no amount of works can secure salvation! That takes believing in John 3:16 and Jesus having fulfilled the Fathers will while He was on earth! As a matter of fact I fail to see the relevance in continuing to hash and rehash the same scriptures,it proves unproductive! We are commanded to " love one another and the household of faith"!
This is BDF I think. Telling the truth is telling you love him/her... God bless

i believe in the example of Jesus, that example was works, He did works everywhere where He went. He didnt come down here to show us how NOT to do it.

the idea of teaching against works has got to be the dumbest idea ever, works are good, works are feeding the hungry, clothing the poor, heeling the sick, this is exactly what Jesus did and yet the faith has reached such a low point there are actually those that teach against that example. its like waking up in the twilight zone.
Jesus was doing what he did, while the people were still under the law. Remember the Jews were angry with him for working and healing on the Sabbath. By doing that he was showing them who he was, but they were too blind to understand, and also he was giving them a foretaste of what was to come. Neither did Jesus do good works in order to be justified. He is the justifier.

We are discussing whether works was necessary for salvation during the Old Testament.
Not only do we have to believe in God, we have to believe in the true God. The Israilites were whoring after all the false gods in the region. Their 'work' imo was to worship the true God. That goes for today as well of course. So many people have their eyes fixed on the god's of this world, money, possessions, the car, TV, and the worship of film and pop stars. Maybe our work is simply to worship the true God in Spirit and in Truth and to be a light shining out into the world. Now that is what the Lord really wants.

Yep, some people in my church say, after you believe Jesus you save, than you continue doing sin, killing raping etc not make you lose your salvation, only lose your reward.

It just like say

Faith without love is ok.

Seem to me this is missunderstand the concept of salvation by faith alone.

They think salvation by faith alone, mean faith than murder etc ok.

I believe faith itself include love Jesus.

And Bible say love God include love other.

They are interconnected

That is the Methodist view about salvation.

No one is teaching against works. I am talking about works for justification. U understand the difference?
makes little difference, the end result is the same, your teaching against works.

Please show a post where someone here preaches against doing good works.

You are purposefully muddying the waters because of an agenda. We absolutely should be doing good works. But a large contingent, myself included, say that those works have ZERO to do with our Salvation. That is a gift we received from our Lord.Ya know, GOD IN THE FLESH!
You don not believe Jesus is God. I personally do not believe, outside of confused baby Christians, that a person is a saved Child Of God if they do not believe He died for them

It also taints and skews everything else you say.
anytime anyone starts on their "not by works" theology, thats a teaching against works. there is no way to spin this into anything else.

also there are no "works" people out there that believes in Jesus, calls them self Christian, do good works while at the same time tell themselves they do not need Jesus because of their works. maybe someone with a mental defect, but not a normal person.

Jesus said He did not come to abolish the law.
