God places his word above his name. Psalm 138:2

I was just jesting about others that twist the Word of GOD.....Try John 1:1...."In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God."

God will not send anyone until his plan is fulfilled, doing the opposite betrays his character and makes him a liar. Darby really messed up the body wit his rapture theory.

Oh, you are one of those Darby bashers. Darby and a few others popularized the Rapture BUT they did not make it up. The imminency of the Rapture has been around since the 1st century. Also, the Latin Bible, one of the Oldest Bibles far earlier than Darby popularization of the Rapture.

Where have I agreed with false doctrine?
He knew that you would chime in with such biblical wisdom that even Solomon would desire to sit at your feet..........do you say that every time your preacher uses a worldly example to make a point.....
These three are working together, liking each other's posts, while one of them is trying to set me up.

They tried the same thing in the Core beliefs - Repentance, faith, works done with a pure heart thread.

I noticed in that thread also there were others incognito in the background saying nothing.

They never travel alone.

One lures them out, another picks a fight, while the others watches, collaborating their story, & report me for fighting in the thread.

The Administrator doesn't even know he's being used when they all complain to him.

They never travel alone.

United. One spirit.

Some of you already suspected this.

It's true.

You're right. This teaching was popular nearly 100 years before Darby.

Darby was also accused of learning this teaching from some woman, but he wrote about it before she publicly revealed it.

Several have collaborated thru the years to give Darby a bad name for this.

Greetings valleyofdecision,
One of the major on-going problems with expositors, is not discerning the gathering of the church as being a separate event from when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age. This in turn leads people to the conclusion that the gathering of the church takes place at the same time as when the Lord returns to the earth to end the age. And since God's wrath via the seals, trumpets and bowls must take place prior to the Lord's return to end of the age, then the church must be gathered prior to said God's wrath.
Exactly. This problem is found in Historic Premillennialism ,Post-Millennialism, and Amillennialism. And all three are false, since they all equate the Church with Israel.

it's more than obvious the elect are not "raptured" otherwise Jesus would never have said the tribulation would be shortened

Mat 24:21 For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be.

Mat 24:22 And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened.

This pre-trib rapture you believe so strongly in, is it the Church entire that are snatched away? Or only the exclusive club of those who believe that particular doctrine? It shouldn't make any difference if half the church simply hold a mid or post-trib viewpoint. Salvation isn't based on one's rapture belief.

Well L-P to answer your question, I simply do not know? That is as truthful as I can be.

As you say, "Salvation is not based upon one's rapture belief". It is really up to God to sort out.

However, as in the 10 Virgins, all were believers, only 5 were looking for Jesus to come back. If you are Mid-Post, PREWrath your not looking for Him to come back in the clouds and Rapture the (I call) true Believers into Heaven.

Immediately, those other believers will KNOW WHY?

I believe in the Rapture because this is what Paul taught back then and is still teaching today. Also, I have no backup plan! If the Rapture does not come before I die (of what ever the cause), I will still see Him in Heaven as My Soul will wait there until my sleepy body is resurrected.

If I were one of the other beliefs, I would have to worry or WONDER? at the very least if I was wrong. The alternative will not be pretty for we know that according to the Seals, life on earth after the Rapture will not be pretty.

1. I get agitated at what is the apparent twisting of some of the scripture to feed one's viewpoint. The Next person reading this ,picks this up and if they do not follow Acts 17:11. they may be in trouble pretty quickly. Once in, it is hard to get out.

2..Some simply quote the scriptures what they believe and ask for clarification of the specifics of the that I and others teach. that is ok. The next person can read and make up their mind like a good Berean in Act 17:11

DC and a few others are in this second category and I applaud them.

But when you get right down to it...In Rev 4.1, we see that John is in Heaven and he Finds that the Lampstands(candlesticks) of the Church (Body of Christ) are already there. In, John see Jesus walk in the Midst of the Lampstands while he is there. Then in the Throne room, John see the 24 Elders that will represent the Church.

IF and I say IF (you look it up) Rev. is written in chronological form, then the 70th week of Daniel is after this. How did the Church to where it is at this point......???the RAPTURE

Are you saying that some believers will be left behind and some will be raptured before the great tribulation?
Can you explain how this is according to the Word?

Tribulation saints are elect, aren't they?

Of course not, but your accusation was absurd.......I have not, nor do I work with anyone to set anyone up.....regardless of whether or not you believe that......

Sure....the word saints and elect are indicative of the saved in any age or time frame.....and applied in the following way...

a. Saint <-->our standing in Christ as in HOLY ONES
b. Elect <-->our position in Christ as Chosen

The saints and elect are one and the same........

In Rev 4, John does not see the lampstands (candlesticks) of the church, he sees the seven lamps of fire which are the seven Spirits of God. The church(body of Christ) is not the seven Spirits of God. Also to say the 24 elders represent the church has no basis. We are not told who they are.
I really think you are trying to make this passage say something that is not said.
As for as the 10 virgins being saved, you are wrong. Five had oil and five did not. Oil is necessary for light. We are to be the light of the world but can only do so if the Holy Spirit is within us. The oil represents the Holy Spirit. Five were saved and five were not.
Jesus never said He would come for some of us, He promised to come for all of us. And there is only one coming.
If one is punished for not having a 100% understanding of end time events, we would all be punished, or as you believe left behind.

It seems five had oil, but it ran out. Previously possessing oil indicates the Holy Spirit was there, & then it wasn't.

Previously saved.

You might want to read the Word. Five took no oil with them.

I don't necessarily believe God will hold us accountable for not knowing everything, but He WILL hold us accountable for having the opportunity to learn the truth & blew Him off, being a sluggard.

You're right. But, they all trimmed their lamps, meaning they were all burning at the time.

They didn't have enuff oil to make the journey to the Bridegroom's house.

I understand that to mean their commitment was very shallow.
