It's not a stretch to conclude that voting is one way of providing for one's family. Government is of the people, so if you default on that responsibility you are leaving your family to the mercy of ravenous wolves

So Gary, do you not also desire to be like Christ? And yet here you are as well. You spend an awful lot of time arguing with people about the flat earth. I'm not debating whether that's a good thing or not, because I have no idea what you do with the rest of your time. You might leave here and spend the next four hours in fasting or prayer.

CC is not unlike sitting in the synagogue teaching and hearing the he teaching of others.

so in that light i would say He would spend no small amount of time.

He did not speak against the ruler at all, nor offer any comment on who should be ruler, nor speak al anything that could have been understood as against a ruler the people did not like, even a corrupt one. if anything He taught not to resist an unpopular and corrupt government.

instead He taught of much greater things than worldly politics, and said don't concentrate on things of the world, but on things of the next.

Jesus simply takes what Is His and is unconcerned with what others think about it.

There are many reasons why this is an invalid comparison to make - the least of which is - He knew He would only be here for a short period of time - "to do His Father's business" - which is totally different than what He tells us to do in our life context.

I'm not the one who made this discussion about spending time in a chat room.

I was asked directly how much time Christ would spend on CC.
My response was Zero.
And for this I'm a hypocrite?

The very question implies that any time spent here could be better spent elsewhere.
Which would make anyone asking that question a hypocrite as well.
Seeing as we are ALL here.
No one ever asked me why I come here.

I believe we should vote or be involved in some way to bring about change.
