Lol!!!

This made me laugh out out loud!

Susanna is definitely one of the most interesting and very UN-hag-like people I've ever met on this forum!! I most certainly hope that she could join in, as it wouldn't be a genuine wing-ding without her.

As for behaving, well...

I can pretty much guarantee she's interesting and not-hag-gish -- so let's just say two out of three ain't bad!:geek::cool:

(And I only say that because I only hope to aspire to reach her levels of trouble-making someday.)

I’m quite sure she isn’t a hag nor old.

Oh no -- I didn't think you thought that about her at all. :)

I'm sorry that my humor doesn't seem to be playing out well in text here -- @Texasgal has been on this site probably longer than anyone else here, so joking with her in the forums about being a "hag" is just standard operating procedure. ;)

I haven't been able to login in my laptop -- that would be my preference, and I'll be limited if I can only get in on my phone (I wouldn't be able to keep up as well.)

Hopefully they'll get it up and running in a format that suits everyone! :)

Don't worry Edith -- we're not even close to trying to set something up yet, so you're not missing out on the singles front. 💖

I might have to get your directions on how to cast my phone screen onto my laptop screen.

Phone screens condense everything, and are way too tiny for me to keep up with when trying to answer in type. With a laptop, I can be typing replies while looking at the next string of messages coming in and just keep continuously answering.

I find this to be a very important component in chat. If people come in and no one greets or acknowledges them, they'll leave thinking, "Why did I even bother? No one noticed I was there." Especially with extreme introverts, which is what people who participate in forums and chats usually identify as. (Remember I put up that poll a while back asking, Introvert or Extrovert? There were something like 17 who answers Introvert, and not a single checked box for Extrovert.)

Recognition, even if it's just an emoji, is very important to a lot of introverted people.

On my phone, I can't see much of anything, and if I tried voice to text, the keyboard pops up and takes up half the screen.

My phone keyboard is good when I can write at a leisurely pace and might be a good last-ditch effort, but it's not nearly as effective as full-size (for my limited skills, at least.)

Looking for tips on where to meet and get to know Christian women in USA. I’ve tried going to different churches but that is not usually the a place to meet/talk to anyone. It seems like I’d have to go to a crazy liberal church or the bar to meet ‘Christian women’ in my area. What are some places real Christian women might be found?
Actually I am somewhat of a ‘cat whisperer’ and have amazed many with it. I’ve never met a cat I couldn’t charm if given enough time with them, and I never use food.

Have you tried your local animal shelter?

*GG starts dreamingly thinking of the making of a Hallmark movie script...
Man volunteers at animal shelter, has great rapport with the cats, one in particular he really bonds with.
Woman comes in looking for a kitty to adopt...
talks with the man about his favorite shelter kitty,
While talking about kitty the conversation moves to other topics of interest.
She falls for man, and falls for his favorite shelter cat...
they all live happily ever after 😍

But seriously Levi, you never know where you might just happen to bump into her.

The Red Rose brand is still out there, Tourist Jerry. I think it was on the shelf my last grocery run, but I opted to not get it because I was mildly inclined to buy loose tea instead of bags and the only loose tea was Lipton. So I put off the whole decision. In the 1980s or so, I remember finding a weird little ceramic figurine in the box, but I didn't think anything of it, nor was I attracted to it. (I collect my share of stuff, but a canning jar will win out over a ceramic figurine any day of the week.) I did a quick internet search and discovering they are owned by Lipton for the most part and that they promoted tea-leave reading, I think I'll search for a different brand. I, too, haven't had a proper cup of black tea in a long time.
Yeah, I remember the little trinkets inside each box of Red Rose tea. Sorta like the toy surprise in each box of Cracker Jack's.

Relax, your humor is playing out just fine. I like to think the best of people and I kinda have to go with what they say. So it’s reassuring that someone else also disagrees with her.

My fear would be GG’s Hallmark script would be rewrote into a psycho thriller and the crazy cat lady would only add me to her collection.

It’s a good suggestion that I’ll consider. I don’t mind a cat or two. The average ‘animal lover’ takes it way too far and I end up being overly cautious and keeping a healthy, barely visible, distance from them.

Old hags don’t pair well with Android platforms, so is that chat thing available from an iPhone?

30-40 is just a general age near my own and not exclusive. If you’re asking about the singles chat, it will be for all ages. I trust you can behave yourself for 30-45 min and not be a hag. ;)

Oh well, maybe for 30-40 minutes.

Romans 8:28! i found 1 of the best friends i ever have known in a bar. twas' by Jesus. i was on my way to a scrabble tournament, my truck broke down & had to get a ride home. for that week, events were not going well. at the time, i was not drinking alcohol. i said to myself, "that's it, i'm going to have a beer". so i went to a place that i was never at. i sat at the bar, ordered a beer & watched the baseball game. peripherally, i noticed a pretty lady conversing with her friend. i snuck up behind her & asked her if she would dance with me. but before that, i noticed she saw me glancing at her almost regularly. we danced & became best friends for 19 years. no, i am not recommending visiting a bar. but that can't be the only time a Christian met someone in a bar. Jesus is always the #1 person to ask for help. then, ask a trusted pastor & friends for advice. you can find great loving christian women at bible studies, church & Christian fundraisers & Christian "emergency" events where volunteers are needed to help in a disaster. blessings to you.

The majority of Christians who are serious about their faith (and not complete kooks which you want to stay away from) are in church. That includes the majority of those single female Christians. Now the majority of Christian women 30-40 years old are not single, but that's the way it is. If you think there are these vast swaths of clean living single christian women who aren't in church...please tell me how you think they're able to resist the temptations that according to you a lot of church going single women aren't.

We all share your frustration of there not being many single Christians in churches period. But that doesn't mean you have better chances elsewhere. Doesn't matter if the chance is 1 in 100 or 1 in 1000, it's a slim chance either way (though one is 10 times more likely than the other and they say that last desperate million to one chances work 9 times out of 10, but that's due to narrative causality and not reproducible in normal life).

And as you can see from other replies in this thread, even a lot of women who would otherwise fit your criteria may enjoy a drink from time to time or may smoke or..... does caffiene count as a drug?
Some seem to have missed the (/sarcasm). I wasn’t sure that was a serious question but to my surprise I found caffeine listed as ’drug’ by several agencies, because it is a stimulant.

I thought it was self-explanatory and perhaps I’ll have to start defining all the hard words in an appendix After each post. Before you ask, alcohol (Ethanol, Ethyl Alcohol, EtOH) though not illegal, certainly qualifies.

Drug: Something and often an illegal substance that causes addiction, habituation, or a marked change in consciousness
We old girls are like a good pair of jeans, we might be worn in some places, but you'll still have a hard time throwing us out.

Let me fix that for you - We old girls are like a good pair of jeans, well fitting, comfortable, tried and true, and not like the junk they sell in the stores these days.

I think it was Billy Grahm, someone was arguing there were good articles in certain magazines despite the lewd images. He said there was a restaurant next to his house that routinely threw out fresh biscuits but he chose not to get his breakfast from the dumpster.
