I tried that and it looked weird that way too. I went back and forth a couple of times and stared at it, and it looked funny both ways. I even thought of not having any period there at all. I just couldn't win!

I think my brain shut off about 4 hours ago.

On a side note, I never know what to do with periods after a quotation mark when it ends the sentence but what's being quoted isn't a sentence. They just look funny to me all of a sudden.

Well if you plan on writing your posts in APA writing style or Chicago Manual style then it is after :P Don't worry, we won't dock marks for inconsistencies :P

I used to like several classics by mozart, bach and someone who's name I can't remember (not a well known composer) but now I can't remember the names of the songs because they make them so darn generic and complicated. :(

Yeah...there's a method to the madness, (like distinguishing a sonata vs a sonatina vs a concerto vs nocturnes, etc) but even then you can have like 20+ of each type of work, so breaking it down into Opuses, numbers, and movements helps organize things.

If you can hum a few bars of the song that you like, and identify the notes that make up those bars, there's a couple of websites where you can run searches to identify what song it is. I've had a lot of luck with melodycatcher.com
 
I have that song from Fun, Some Nights, in my head. I heard it on the radio today and it's just stuck in my head now.

Oh my goodness, that was hilarious! I LOVE IT! The best was 'outcast and warmer'. What's 'warmer'? Or 'generally fair'? lol Did they not have temperature gauges in the 50's?! 'Honey, the weatherman got it wrong yet again, it is warm out not warmer!' hehehe...thanks for the laugh.
