but then, back in 'the day' we had songs like The 59th Street Bridge Song (aka "feeling groovy", she said, completely mortified),
and I Will (Beatles) and other happy tunes.
I think this sort of song is more commonplace now?
My real question, I guess, is how are you such a sweetie pie with that song in your head? lol

Hahaha well it picks up later on in the song lol. Back in the day you guys also had Paint it Black, House of the Rising Sun, the Sound of Silence, etc. too hey? It's a neat song. And his story is quite amazing. He was undiagnosed bipolar for many years and I believe that it is reflectived in some of his songs. I don't know how to answer your question lol. It's meaningful deep music and I appreciate it even though I don't always relate. It speaks to me I guess
