Sin was designated "sin" because it causes damage to the practitioner and those around him. To reduce damage it is good to advocate for the cessation of all sin.I kindly ask for you to consider these scripture/s,
1Corinthians 5:11
1Corinthians 6:9-11
1Corinthians 6:16-20
As someone who is a Christian, sins actively against God whether or nor their conscious permits them to act in homosexuality. This is a very bad sin, one we are told to repent of, much like all sin. Sexual sin of all kinds however, do worse to the body. They are highlighted in a way, as worse sins.
I can say confidently that we are asked to not fellowship with certain Christians who regularly display a lack of repentance in certain ways.
And if I may add, I think that its okay to highlight the sins in others lives, who are Christian. I believe it would be the loving thing to do, if done kindly with humility amd gentleness. God calls us to live a life of repentance, and its disobedient to choose to live a life of Sin
Now we all sin, yes. But we should all make a effort to please God as well, repenting, trying to lean on God for progression, and trying to to live holy lives for our God.
If we do not desire to, it shows a lack of understanding, or faith. Which can be for concern.
I humbly ask that you consider these things, and if I am wrong, please correct me![]()
Insisting on it, for people who see no reason to not do it, that goes too far. It is like teaching a cat to sing - it does no good and it annoys the cat.
Singling out that one sin, that was done by society at large. People used to have much fun hating on it. While it is not good to condone sin, neither was it beneficial to throw so much hate at it. Now the pendulum has swung too far the other way, which is also unfortunate.
