Your posts are too long for me to absorb all at once. Scripture says none are righteous. Nope. Not one. Are you saying some
are or were? God says David did all God wanted except in the matters of murder and adultery. Yeah, very righteous. And let's
not forget that census. But we were all of the world before being called out of the world. Does this need explanation?
If any had their own righteousness they would not need Christ's. I put on His, and thank God for it.
“Scripture says none are righteous. Nope. Not one. Are you saying some
are or were? “
Yes m saying your misunderstanding that and applying it too far back and I’m saying read this one scripture
“
By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he
obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.”
Hebrews 11:4 KJV
Abel was the second man born of Adam sis and he had faith and pleased God he wasnt an object of Gods wrath because he was adams son .
But look at his brother the other first man born of Adam . He wasn’t acting right so God tells him to
just do what’s right cain and you will be accepted but if you don’t do what’s right sin is going to have you “
He wasn’t already condemned because he was born of Adam and Eve bit he was spoken to by God and called to repentance and promised he also would be accepted like abel was but ……he killed abel instead this wasn’t Gods will but was the corrupted Will of cain, cain is responsible for what he did not for Adam eating the fruit but for his own actions while abel also his actions were considered righteous by God.
“that upon you may come
all the righteous blood shed upon the earth, from the blood of righteous Abel unto the blood of Zacharias son of Barachias, whom ye slew between the temple and the altar.”
Matthew 23:35
Im just pointing out that way way after that then this happened
“The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there were any that did understand, And seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: There is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
Psalm 14:2-3 KJV
I’m just trying to show you that there’s a timeline early on mankind had many righteous people and later on after the law was defiled on David’s time the. god saw that one were righteous and that there was no man left To intercede.
But early on absolutely there were many who God looked upon as righteous
“There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was perfect and upright, and one that feared God, and eschewed evil.”
Job 1:1 KJV
the only part of that whole thing we’ve disagreed on sis is the timing of when it happened and how it happened. That mankind became slaves to and condemned by sin as a whole.
The bible tells of many righteous even who’s righteousness could deliver tbier own souls not it would t be good enough to deliver anyone else’s like Jesus did
“though
Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it,
as I live, saith the Lord GOD, they shall deliver
neither son nor daughter; they shall but
deliver their own souls by their righteousness.”
Ezekiel 14:20 KJV
There are others but it gets long pretty easily . But yes I’m saying that statement was an observation by God and he saw that there were none righteous kind of like in Noah’s time after ten generations he looks and sees that man’s become wicked completely and Noah is the only one left.
My posts get long because the bi me is long and a lot of Information explains the other little bits of it .
i believe this is going on
“The LORD is in his holy temple, The LORD's throne is in heaven: His eyes behold, his eyelids try, the children of men. The LORD trieth the righteous: But the wicked and him that loveth violence his soul hateth.”
Psalm 11:4-5 KJV
and eventually this happened as he watched us
“as it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, There is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together
become unprofitable; There is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
Romans 3:10-12 KJV
I believe there were many righteous men of God , saints actually in the Old Testament yes before he said there were none
abut what made then righteous hasn’t changed they came close to the lord and followed his ways and walked after his words because they believed in him . Like Abraham the righteous man of faith or Noah the hier of the righteousness of faith or Enoch who walked with God and never saw death …..
