The context was and is about Abraham, yet I think it is for us all in belief, that do not take any of it for granted and misuse this amazing gift given
In other words, we that are Father's children given to us by Son's resurrection where the new life is at, We have the "Power"

Matthew 17:20
And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.

Are we listening and thinking I can do anything?

Romans 15:17
I have therefore whereof I may glory through Jesus Christ in those things which pertain to God.

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
1 Peter 4:11

so, now we each see we have the Power, yet how shall we each use this power?

In Daddy's, PaPa's, Father's timing or our own thinking as we think we want or need?

Let's see, Moses in leaving Egypt and pharaoh chasing after them all.
Did Moses cause the fire to stop them or did God do that through Moses?
Did the Red Sea part by Moses or by Father through Moses, not known as Father yet then?

according as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:

Fear, anger, worry are distractions from the truth of God's love for us all to be new in these bodies presently lead by Father, the same as Jesus was during his entire ministry for us to see it, no fear, overcame death for us all, that is doe in son, Son said so in John 19:30. as, he went willing to die once for all flesh and blood (Heb. 10:10), then risen on the third day, where Daddy, gives new life in his risen Son for us to be willing to be led new by Daddy, Father, PaPa too, thank you (The Holy Spirit of truth)
Ready, willing go, this is between Father, Son and you personally above everything else first.
In God we are accepted, forgiven, Loved and sealed to see new, as we make mistakes along the way, we by God, remain forgiven by God, thanks to Son's done work first, so we can do new as agree to do, done by God through us at least me thank you
I no longer live Gal. 2:20, anyone else? Trust God, be new and not see it at first. Therefore continue as called to se it in Col 1 and 2, thank you

The immediate context was Abraham followed by Moses, but the eternal context was Christ and his church/spiritual Israel,
so those who bless Christians will be blessed, although political Israel may have a part to play in the end of world history.

That's not what I meant. In God's opinion, what the people said was "good". You are saying it is "bad".

I never wrote that. Only that there were consequences for not coming near to Him as instructed. God can still use “good” especially when it preserves lives.

Good is one of those pesky words with many definitions like world, father, establish, etc. When I was in construction often a large piece of material would need to be handled by two or three guys. One guy would spot while the two others would work to put it in place. When the material met the line to gain, the spotter would say “That’s good” and the other two guys would stop moving it. Here, good meant “properly in place” not the opposite of evil. From that place we could continue to build.

The same was with God at Sinai.

“The law was added for transgressions”

Even so, God still continued to build with the Jews at Sinai. For their sake it was important to know that He could. So He called their starting position “good”. He never stopped building with the people of promise, though. That covenant, 430 years prior to Sinai, could not be replaced. From that covenant He established His House.
