We are to be living for our eternal life with Christ, not this world.
If we don't we could end up like you know who.

That's part of the problem with the proposed Oregon measure that's up for vote.
They want people to demonstrate they can safely use a gun via classes, BEFORE they can own the gun but they aren't offering such classes or you have to bring your own gun to the class, for practice. How can one prove competency if we can't buy or borrow a gun for a class that may or may not ever be offered??
This measure will make it impossible to ever purchase a gun with that runaround.

At least to get a driver's license they provide classes and vehicles for practice!
Yeah I believe that is referred to as a catch-22

@shittim.. I've noticed you like taking little passive aggressive shots at me all the time
I was actually agreeing with the poster
Or do you not know what catch 22 means?

Indeed! God has been very good to us.
I got involved in the shooting sports when I worked in Corrections, 40 hours a week with the dregs of humanity, you need to have good citizens to fellowship with, the folks in the shooting sports are good, solid, citizens working their jobs, raising the kiddos, paying the taxes and giving of themselves for others.
Those falling block actions have always appealed to me.
Here is another company that makes then-

That's great. I've known a lot of guys who worked in corrections. My brother was one and a few pastors too. Others were friends.
Competition is a very good way to improve proficiency in a controlled, safe environment.

That company has a good selection of barrels.

But I own is a shotgun that belongs to my dad. Mainly because guns are just too expensive

If you're going to carry, concealed carry is the way to go. Open carry is a flashing neon sign saying SHOOT ME FIRST

Just saw this from God, Family and Guns about the FK Brno pistol.
He speaks very highly of it and the cartridge it uses.
Praise the Lord!
I like how he gave Him the glory for the gift he got. That's truly a nice gift too.
Right before he mentioned the internal rail, guess what name I said?
Sig!
I went back and looked again and said, that doesn't even look like a Sig. 😄
Why did I say that? Subconsciously, I must've noticed the slide height and thought P210. I don't know for sure, but it looks like precision. That would be a perfect field gun.
I hate to look up the price of ammo. Yikes! I guess a retired principal can afford it, especially if the cost of the weapon is paid for. Good video.

Not only that but, at least here in Oregon, if you open carry and accidentally brush your hand against your holstered gun and someone is "offended" that you're carrying, they can have you arrested for "threatening" them.

I can still remember when I was a young kid maybe like five or six years old my parents and I were visiting some friends. I found a gun under a bed and picked it up thinking it was a toy.
I could have accidentally killed someone that day
I'm not saying people shouldn't have guns but use them responsibly. People who do that should probably be reported to child protective services

Maybe. Or, maybe the gun was not loaded.
I DO agree with you that adults are to act responsibly with their firearms, though. Too many accidents DO happen.
Too many kids get run over in the driveway by adults, as well. Too many kids drown in 5 gal buckets or bathtubs, too.
Adults need to be responsible...

I've never even fired a pistol, but even I know that.

Of course I do have a lot of friends who never leave the house without a firearm somewhere on their persons...

But yeah, if I had a gun I'd definitely not be putting it out on my hip for everyone to see. Keep a little mystery in the game. Make the psycho work for it. Keep him guessing.

H&H-The internal slide rail makes the slide thinner, I like the way they put those screws in the rear of the slide to help in charging the pistol.
Thanks for the video about Wild Bill
