Sounds to me you got some very good advice. I probably would have told you to bury yourself in Gods word and commit to deeper prayer life in addition to what was advised.
But hey! You are 18 and you know everything!! Hang out and let the lice fall off ya. Maybe a job will appear out of the woodwork? Maybe your funk will go away without putting forth any effort to fix it. Positive words of exhortation from loved ones is just ridiculous malarkey!!

Thank you for your encouraging and motivational speech. My mood has magically been changed, and I, a simple teenager, know absolutely nothing, in spite of the fact I never claimed to know everything or anything in the first place.

Watch your words then! Dont come on here and bash your dad. It isnt becoming. God says honor your parents. Your dad sounds like a good dad. He is trying to help you.
Get outside and get some exercise. Take in all that you are thankful for. Make your dad the first thing you are thankful for. Some people dont have a dad. Be thankful
Since I don't owe you any sort of explanation of any sort, I'm just going to say maybe YOU should watch YOUR words, because you don't know my story, you don't even know ME, and how dare you act like you do.
And people in here know that I mean no ill will towards my dad. I'm just frustrated with him. I'm frustrated with my situation. Does that mean I don't love or appreciate my dad? No.

I don't think lil_christian was proclaiming that she knew everything. Those seemed to come from your mouth :/ I do agree that some teens do think they know everything, but remember that not everyone is the same. And from lil_christian's post, she's seeking help and love. She never proclaimed anything and her post didn't come off as that.She just lost her job, a bit of grace and love is needed in these situations.

Side note, also, some adults ALSO think they know everything. Not just teens. We can point fingers at different generations all we want, but at the end of the day, there are a lot of people out there....both teens and adults....who think they know everything.Hey blondie
