Being baptized in water means only one thing: being baptized in water.

This needs to happen for thatAgreed! I hate to see you in such danger! Repent while you still can!
This needs to happen for that
Acts 2:38
New International Version
38 Peter replied, “Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins. And you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.
Well you'll have to take what the word saysI have no idea what you're trying to say.
I obviously failed at getting my point across. Yep, skills need work.I specifically said that grace was unmerited favor. Your skills need a serious upgrade .![]()
Do tell
In Acts 2:38, "for the remission of sins" does not refer back to both clauses, "you all repent" and "each one of you be baptized," but refers only to the first. Peter is saying "repent unto the remission of your sins," the same as in Acts 3:19. The clause "each one of you be baptized" is parenthetical. This is exactly what Acts 3:19 teaches except that Peter omits the parenthesis. This needs to happen for that

That verse does not say that water baptism is spiritual circumcision.True God circumcises our hearts. When does He do it?
11 In him also you were circumcised with a circumcision made without hands, by putting off the body of the flesh, by the circumcision of Christ, 12 having been buried with him in baptism
I'm not aware of another verse that tells us we are circumcised by any other means.
The thief on the cross died prior to the institution of the NT rebirth. How to experience the rebirth was revealed on the Day of Pentecost when Jesus shed forth the Holy Ghost. (Acts 2:36-42) Jesus prophesied about this when He said, repentance and remission of sin (a reference to water baptism) would be preached in HIS name to ALL nations BEGINNING in Jerusalem. (Luke 24:47)Don't tell that to the thief on the cross. He wasn't baptized, yet Jesus said, "today you will be with me in paradise".
John 3:16 is perfectly clear: "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
Well done you've just dismissed being baptised with the Holy Spirit in water for a logical solution.*So, the only logical conclusion when properly harmonizing scripture with scripture is that faith in Jesus Christ "implied in genuine repentance" (rather than water baptism) brings the remission of sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit (Luke 24:47; Acts 2:38; 3:19; 5:31; 10:43-47; 11:17,18; 15:7-9; 16:31; 26:18). *Perfect Harmony*
Well you'll have to take what the word says
First sentence, Believe, be baptised, and be saved, (two things).
Second sentence, Don't believe and be condemned.
Those are the words of The Holy Spirit in the bible.
Not mine.
So then to believe, you have to be empowered by the Holy Spirit, because notice the second verse, baptism is missing, which means if you don't believe you won't be baptised, and you will be condemned.
To deny this scripture is to deny the word of God.
To argue about this scripture is to save yourself.
So you would be better submitting to this scripture and believe it,
So you must be baptised with the Holy spirit in water to be saved completely

Those who believe in Jesus, believe all of the word. (John 1:1) According to Jesus, the word is what all will be judged by. (John 12:48) Jesus said He who believes and is baptized shall be saved. (Mark 16:15-16) And Jesus is the author of salvation to all those who obey Him. (Heb. 5:9)
Well done you've just dismissed being baptised with the Holy Spirit in water for a logical solution.
Thanks for your opinion.
Excuse the pun but it doesn't wash.
It's what happens during water baptism that saves you
1 Peter 3:21
and this water symbolizes baptism that now saves you also—not the removal of dirt from the body but the pledge of a clear conscience toward God. It saves you by the resurrection of Jesus Christ,
It's quite clear water baptism is completion of salvation before you die.
Should we call Peter a liar
The rock whom Jesus built his church on
Should we say well, what about the thief.on the cross,.or what about someone dieing,
The word of Jesus is for the living.
Well the thief on the cross could have been resurrected through christ and even through water.
Those Dieing could get baptised to,
But scripture is for the living.
And those who believe in the gospel would not argue about being baptised.
It's not something that should be denied, or thought of as not having anything to do with salvation.
Because scriptures says other wise..
You have to run your own race, as no one can run it for you.
Well you have your faith i have mineWater baptism does not save you! If that was the case, all those people baptized by John had no need for a Savior, i.e., they were already saved.
Jesus, after Peter denied Him, called him "Satan" and a stumbling block. He did not build His church on Peter, but on Peter's confession that Jesus was the Christ.
well you have your faith i have mineThis simply is wrong.
Where are those two verses you claim are in the Bible?
For example, John 3:16 says, "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life." If you have to be empowered by the Holy Spirit to believe then this verse makes no sense. If you're empowered by the Holy Spirit, you're already saved, since unbelievers do not have the Holy Spirit.
The rest of the post is also wrong, including the last sentence. Nobody is "baptized with the Holy Spirit in water". Water baptism and being baptized in the Holy Spirit are entirely separate actions.
