you accuse me unjustly.

I definitely, not defiantly agree with God through risen Son and what you said in your post above, thank you
"WILLINGLY! me remaining willing not forced or coerced dead to First born flesh daily standing in process daily in rememberence, it is not about me, it is about God's done work for us all first. Glorying in my need daily
that's why John stated we love because God first loved us 1 John 4:17-19 . that is deep. that also goes along with Paul Gal 2:20. now you learning this truth too, me as well and not ever thinking I got it as have in past and saw pride step in. Now I understand 2 Cor 12:7-10

New International Version

2 Cor 12:7-10

7 or because of these surpassingly great revelations. Therefore, in order to keep me from becoming conceited, I was given a thorn in my flesh, a messenger of Satan, to torment me. 8 Three times I pleaded with the Lord to take it away from me. 9 But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me. 10 That is why, for Christ’s sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong.

Amen to the words spoken by Jesus in red. Much of what He said was before His death and resurrection (shouting time). He was not addressing the "Church" as we know it today. He was still walking this earth living by and under the law. Some people will enthusiastically quote many of His red-letter words but conveniently omit important statements like, "these signs shall follow those who believe" — not just some, not a few, but those who believe.

He said, "In My name they shall cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues." It’s remarkable how selectively we interpret what applies to us today and what does not. Do we truly believe? The truth is, often we pick and choose what we want to accept. Then, we justify our personal beliefs by citing Scripture. We say, "faith must be active or it is dead," yet many do not genuinely believe.

Faith is the confidence in what we hope for and the assurance of things not seen. I am not working to keep this branch grafted in. The "fruit" does not come by me but the vine. The branch is already grafted in. Pffft.. let me explain, the branch is already grafted in and highlights the believer’s secure position in Christ. This grafting is not something we achieve or maintain by our own efforts. it is an act of God’s grace. When a person places faith in Jesus, they are spiritually united with Him and like a branch grafted into a living vine. This union is permanent and secure because it depends on Christ’s sustaining power, not on human striving.

So Saying I am not working to keep this branch grafted in I acknowledge that my salvation and spiritual connection to Christ are not maintained by my own works or efforts. While spiritual growth requires cooperation with God’s grace, the fundamental reality of being "in Christ" is a gift, not a task to be earned or preserved by human willpower. This frees me or believers from the burden of trying to prove or maintain my standing before God through my own strength. .. where I leave.

The first cause and final cause of our salvation is the death and resurrection of our Lord.

The simple four line gospel that Paul stated (1 Corinthians 15).

The Lord reconciled, atoned, saved us, through His love for us or should I say His grace.

Our Christian response to that free gift of salvation is our Christian walk.

The Christian walk is essentially based on the work of the Holy Spirit within in us.

Our salvation does not originate from anything we can accomplish.

That's why we boast in Christ and nothing else.

How can you add something to a finished, completed work? You can't and nobody is trying to. It's just something your hiding behind so you can keep your life.

You've been warned, you know the truth now. So you will be held accountable for your decision . You and your household.

Oh the drama

Thank God, I said THANK GOD people who think they have some power over others are not the ones God chooses to make these decisions. What was it Jesus said? Something about the blind leading the blind I think?

Dude this is a forum. What's the matter? Your church frowns upon you getting up in a service and judging everyone but yourself because you are a chosen instrument?

I've see how that ends. Ends the same way here. I call baloney on your threats and posturing.

Yes, the free gift is grace. Faith is our response to that grace . The correct response is pisteuo in the Greek. A personal surrender to Him and a life inspired by such surrender

There's no such thing as believing, that word is a mistranslation.

Either your just stubborn and are going to just dig in on the mistranslation, or your intentionally misleading people. Which is it?

This reminds me of the KJVO crowd. At some point it becomes idolatrous, such as this case with the "mistranslated" word.

Found this online: the backfire effect : when an evidence-based correction is presented to an individual and they report believing even more in the very misconception the correction is aiming to rectify

Kind of a doubling-down syndrome. Seems to be taking place and growing worse. Coming to the digital media world expecting much to any agreement on theology is not a productive pursuit.

The BDF supposed to be Bible Discussion Forum. Several here believe it to be their own personal teaching platform and some just want to get out of the basement

And we also have 'prophets' and several other varieties of 'look at me' types airing their wares
