Iron ore? "Wrought" makes me think of wrought iron.
concrete ?![]()
Of course, what makes concrete gritty is the sand in it...Another good guess that fits but is not what I had in mind
Are you trying to be sly in an 'artsy' kind of way?
'grog' ?
My start in life is often gritty
But those with skill can make me pretty.
Common I am, simple I'm not
Depending on what's to be wrought.

Iron ore? "Wrought" makes me think of wrought iron.
Does it occur naturally in its gritty state?Good guess that I prefer over what I was actually thinking of![]()
Does it occur naturally in its gritty state?
Is its natural/original state metallic?
It is not metallic but can become metallic? As far as whether its natural state is metallic, the short answer is that it's complicated but basically no.
Gary, what did @Godsgirl1983 tell you about making the riddles so complicated nobody wants to solve them?
I'm not sure even @Mem and @Sculpt are gonna try this one!![]()
Yeah...I don't know - what did she tell me?![]()
At this point - with the "really easy" clue I put in post #2505 - I am thinking that anyone who knows their Bible well enough should be able to solve it very quickly. I have no doubt that you could "beat them to it" in the next five minutes if you decided to. If you do not agree that this is the reality, please let me know. (seriously - I want to better understand where the line is drawn between me thinking it should really be this easy because I know the answer and the possibility that the information that I have given so far is nowhere near being sufficient enough to narrow it down almost completely.)
