.... so out there, it is quite funny!
Like saying you were gonna BEAT ME UP if you ever seen me haha Good luck!
I don't remember off the top of my head....was like a week ago or so.....maybe longer.....I laughed out loud and told him he needed to eat his wheaties and I think someone reminded him that I was a Marine and not a good idea
Get over it WD-40....Judas was never saved and then lost it...Do I claim that? Please can you show me.
I believe in the elect, chosen of God before the beginning of time, written in the Lambs book of life.
Who they are, we can only trust the testimony of the Holy Spirit and the testimony of belief in Jesus and His coming, death on the cross for the forgiveness of sins and resurrection to the Father, in the belief we too will be raised to eternal life in Christ Jesus Amen.
So what do you call me. A calvanist, an OSAS believer, or just a simple follower of Jesus.
And what of Judas? He appeared an apostle yet betrayed his Lord. But then Jesus said of him
John 17:12
While I was with them, I protected them and kept them safe by that name you gave me. None has been lost except the one doomed to destruction so that Scripture would be fulfilled.
Ummmmm John said we can know because we have believed!John said we can know we have eternal life. And based on this fact continue to believe
Do it and post it hahha and my response so he cannot argueI remember the wheaties comment ....oh good I can do a search![]()
You were taught wrongI was taught that the elect could be for example, Israel, Abraham, Moses, Judas etc. These people were elected from the foundation of the earth, even Jesus, to do a particular job. I know Christians can be members of the elect as well, but I have never found out what their role is in life, unless the Apostle Paul is an example. I seem to think he was also elected for a particular roll. Maybe we should ask ourselves what we have been elected for to do for God? One thing I do know, is that scripture is deeper than we first think.
Night all.
Amen...these so called believers that say we cannot know make me sick....the bible is clear....and we can KNOW 100%Romans 8:16
The Spirit himself testifies with our spirit that we are God's children.
hahahaha predictive text is killing you migo hahaha and or auto correctI do not wish to argue theology Anyone here who knows me understands this
just Want to discuss the Bible and what each of us believes
If you are correct and did not lie
you stated once a person is born again. Made olive saved by grace
they are saved forever correct?
or am I mistaken?
WD-40 almost reminds me of ole Petey....Yes I agree we have to use good hermeneutics to understand scripture as it was originally intended to be understood and by the Holy Spirit.
The question remains does eternal life mean to you that salvation is secure and saved is saved?
Many cannot grasp this truth! If you believe in the elect, chosen of God before the beginning of time and written in the Lambs book of life then is that not OSAS?
Afterall if chosen by God from the beginning of time and in the book then you cannot be written out.
As for Judas he obviously was not one of the elect therefore never saved to begin with.
WD-40 almost reminds me of ole Petey....
Clear as and understood well when one sees it as the book of the living with everyone written in and then only removed upon rejection of the truth.....and of course God knows from the foundation who will believe and who will not....MANY are called, but few chosen!I believe all names are in the book, those whos names "have not been found" written in the book are those whos names have been blotted out.....
Revelation 3:5
5 He that overcometh, the same shall be clothed in white raiment; and I will not blot out his name out of the book of life, but I will confess his name before my Father, and before his angels.
Who is he that overcomes?
1 John 5:4
4 For whatsoever is born of God overcometh the world: and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.
________
Exodus 32:33
“And the LORD said unto Moses, Whosoever hath sinned against me, him will I blot out of my book.”
________
Revelation 20:15
15 And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.
All names are in, those who are blotted out will no longer be found in the book. Whatsoever is born of God is promised to not be blotted out. (us saved believers)
Others will not have the righteousness of Christ imputed to them and will be blotted out due to the righteousness of God bringing justice to sin.
Not hardly pal!Revelation 22:19 answers the first line of your post. In fact, it answers the whole OSAS debate.
He promises to not blot out the name of believers, He promises to blot the name out of WHOSOEVER sins against Him. I disagree with your opinions. Those who are in white are imputed with the righteousness of Jesus and will not be blotted out because Jesus has saved them.
Yeah something he said made me immediately think of ole Petey......mannerisms are hard to change.....obviously not saying he is, just reminded me of him for sure....time will tellDefinitely comes across like someone from the past, always talks past what was asked with lots of words, all being rather vague.... like Petey for sure.
Amen Rose....so good to see your understanding growing leaps and bounds.....keep swinging SisSo God calls us from the foundation of the world , before we were born , but then He changes His mind , yet the bible says God does not change...
So while He throws us back into satan's world , He is also calling His Son a liar when Jesus said " I will lose not one "
This must be how people think about their god , but we have the creature of the world in whom we trust , faithful and true , and never tells lies , we are His children forever , eternally secure...
These ones who go on about us losing our Salvation maybe need to check to see if they are in the faith , seriously , God can take our life just like that...

I've seen others in the past use Revelation 22:19 to attack OSAS.Not hardly pal!
I've seen others use Revelation 22:19 to attack OSAS in the past. I also once saw someone in favor of eternal security post this link - https://www.gotquestions.org/erased-book-life.html
Yes, that thread is a train wreck! It's sad when believers in the OSAS camp can't share their interpretation of Hebrews 10:26-39 on that thread without being accused of being disingenuous and basically called a liar.It is always the same ole same ole ... just look at the "That Hebrews 10v26" thread. sigh
