That is just a Metaphor, for when EVOLUTIONIST were DESPERATELY searching for the MISSING LINKS Between SPECIES. When I was in High School, in 1965, my Biology Teacher TAUGHT Evolution AS A SCIENTIFIC FACT, despite that NONE OF THE MISSING LINKS HAD BEEN FOUND. She justified it by saying "It is just a Matter of Time before they FIND some of these MISSING LINKS." And NOW according to Ariel82, the once avid supporters of the MISSING LINKS Theory, have changed their views, WITHOUT EVER ADMITTING THEY WERE WRONG, and now CALL hybrid offspring to be THE NEW EVOLUTION. SO NOW THEY HAVE SCIENTIFIC EVIDENCE, so as to SAVE some Face, because of the complete failure their MISSING LINKS ORIGINAL THEORIES.

it's many of the hypothesis people have made about the origin of 'species' ((or Biblically 'types')) that you disagree with - and i do too btw - and many godless theories of origin, that are commonly, wrongly conflated with 'evolution'
what i actually believe makes sense about dogs is the same as you & purple lady, that NOAH only needed to take one set of pairs of animals not unlike a grey wolf onto the ark, and in that animals DNA every kind of dog that came after it was already encoded, waiting to be expressed at the right time. that God has 'built-in' everything that makes an African elephant into a wooly mammoth, so that it doesn't take 30 million years of random accidental mutations to put it together, it would only takes a trigger, and creatures can adapt over a much shorter number of generations, a number sufficiently small to keep up with a change in environment and prevent extinction - the math is different if life has been designed.
I personally think it is ignorant............split the difference and never change it again........

NOT IN THE LEAST! But I only count the ORIGINAL THEORY of MISSING LINKS, as the Legitimate Evolutionary Theory. This SO CALLED modern day Evolution, is JUST A COPE OUT, so the Scientists could have some kind of proof, so SCIENTISTS did not have to face the RIDICULE of a NON-EXISTANT MISSING LINK THEORY. THEY JUST RE-NAMED what EVERY FARM BOY and EVERY HORSE RACING STABLE BOY KNOWS as HYBRIDIZATION and it has been called that for at least a couple of centuries.
That is why the BOOK OF 1 JOHN was written:

3 Now by this we may be sure that we know him, if we obey his commandments.
That does not MEAN PERFECTION, the verb OBEY is in the GREEK Present Tense, implying an on going Lifestyle of obeying or keeping HIS commandments. In other words it is saying IF WE KEEP ON STRIVING TO OBEY OR KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS, THEN WE CAN KNOW FOR SURE WE KNOW HIM.

Amen! VCO, the bible say's we have the "comfort of the scriptures" Rom15:4, that give true believers assurance of our "Eternal Life." Another verse from the Book of 1st John say's; "These things I have written, so that "you may know", that you have eternal life." Personally I kept these words with me when I was a babe in Christ and the fact still remains with me today; the bible say's that, "you may know", that "you have 'eternal life."
Of course I only get a little excited when I read these wonderful words that, "you may know", that you have, "Eternal Life" and of course the reality of this TRUTH remains with each and every believer TODAY...
