I believe the ending of the verse you are quoting is “and lean not on your own understanding. With all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will give you the desires of your heart.

You quote scripture that has nothing to do with the discussion. You quite popular “they will love you for reminding them” scripture. You don’t quote, “forgive us as we forgive those who sin against us” or “be who endures to the end will be saved” because either you don’t know it’s there or it won’t make you popular. Second, I weave scripture into my sentences wondering who will disagree because they don’t know the Bible at all, only the positive promises they like. The ones you post.
