Those who reject OSAS know they must maintain their relationship with God. But I wonder which of the choices we make to do so are odious “works” to the OSAS crowd. Reading the Bible? Is that an odious work they shun lest they be tempted to “boast?” What about prayer and hearing from God? Is that an idious “work” they shun lest they be tempted “to boast?” Or fellowship with other believers? Is that another “works salvation” matter they’re careful not to do? Because those are the odious “works” we do to maintain our relationship with Christ. Which of these do you distain?

Scripture plainly states that those who depart were not one of us. i.e., they were not born again.

They went out from us, but they did not really belong to us. For if they had belonged to us,
they would have remained with us; but their going showed that none of them belonged to us.

1 John 2:19
So if any of you depart in the future, you aren’t saved today. How do you then have assurance if the measure is not departing in the future????

How about you stop with the false accusations you just make yourself look more worse, if that is possible, and stick to the topic at hand.

Salvation is secure. OSAS is the Gospel.

Did you miss >>>>>>>>>>>>> They were NOT one of us.

They left the assembly but they were never saved.

It isn’t as you wished were happening. But you have no answer and so wish I’d stop.

It is so much better to know Him than trust a man doctrine. I feel nothing but love for you my brethren. You deserve a better doctrine.

If you leave the assembly in 10 years, you were never saved according to your team.

John is referencing a particular situation of false teachers.

I am speaking to the spiritual reality ... you cannot walk away/undo your Justified status.

If you leave in 10 years, you were only fooling yourself all this time.

Listen you are not fooling me, and you are making it obvious you have no response.

Stop with the temporal and deal with the spiritual realm.

How does a person undo a spiritual decree/status by walking away?

If you are honest you will admit it takes a move of God, not man... and we know clearly from scripture God's decree is final.

Question...is this not our Lord, under law, speaking to His brethren before Pentecost? Does this not make a difference in our understanding?
Not at all. Christ was speaking about the eternal Kingdom of Heaven (or Kingdom of God). And He also said that those who are born again both see and enter into the Kingdom of God.

The bulk of the teachings of Christ are addressed to all men, particularly to Christians. There are very few things He said which pertain strictly to Torah observance.

So you say the man who no longer sins, who thanks God through Christ, who serves God with his mind, who is crucified to his flesh, no longer living after it, is not a Christian.

You say Paul is not a believer, that he was not born again when he wrote this letter.

Hard to believe you still don't recognize your problem.
He ignores the present tense her and in 1 John 1:8. He can not be trusted

I am not creating doctrine. OSAS is a created doctrine; you should spend more time examining OSAS instead of me.

I’m just showing you the doctrine in the Bible concisely.
We examine you because you make claims which do not line up with scripture,

I stead of trying to teach us, try to study more yourself

if you claim you are without sin you decieve yourself and there is no truth in you

how can you claim to teach us when scripture plainly states you yourself are deceived?
