Who do you center your hope in and on?So if one is continually judging self, looking for fruit in self, what has filled our vision? Who have we centered our hope in and on?
Was someone talking about being justified by the way of the law?And then we come back to this.
When we are used of God, it's out of the anointing. Not of our own actions.
You are speaking of character. God can use an earthen pot is true. But, He is making gold and silver when it comes to our character.
Never will happen by slap on the knuckles with a ruler. Nor with a set of laws.
Only by the Spirit of God. Free to be what He is making within. Rules will bind, cause fear with failures, and there will be failures, which then paralyzes. One cannot go forward.
Grace however, is He who comes alongside and wells up within...our helper.
That is the gospel. Now let's hope you haven't flip flopped back to suggesting that this means you don't have to have works when Jesus comes back because justification and salvation are not earned by works (which they are not earned by works). Thanks be to God which saves, seals, justifies and sanctifies eternally in Christ by faith......
It pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE.
He that believes on the Son IS HAVING EVERLASTING LIFE.....
NOT BY WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS WHICH WE HAVE DONE, but according to His mercy has HE SAVED US!
NO WORKS REQUIRED TO OBTAIN SALVATION BY FAITH!
Was someone talking about being justified by the way of the law?
Many people get confused when someone talks about faith upholding the law (Romans 3:31) and think that can only mean trying to be justified by the law. Which it isn't. Justification in Christ through faith, apart from works (Romans 4:6), results in us having a new nature that, when we walk in it in according to the fruit of the Spirit, are not in violation of any law of God. No law is against the fruit of the Spirit-Galatians 5:23. Walking in the fruit of the Spirit upholds the law, not violates it.
That is the gospel. Now let's hope you haven't flip flopped back to suggesting that this means you don't have to have works when Jesus comes back because justification and salvation are not earned by works (which they are not earned by works).
The person who doesn't bring any increase to the knowledge of the kingdom he was given from God will be cast into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth-Matthew 25:26-30. Anyone who does not put the word of God to work bringing manifest increase to it in visible deeds will be condemned as an unbeliever who rejected that word. When Jesus returns to see what each of us did with the word of God, that person who did nothing with it will be rejected.
Are you thinking that we come to the Great White Throne judgement?
Lol, Again, you prove you have no understanding of what I said.I can only go by what you post.
You want to stop focusing on everyone's sin. That means you want to ignore the verse stating ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. That is the basis for Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. It is a basic theological Issue. Ignoring that concept implies that some possibly lead sinless lives and don't need the sacrifice of Christ which is against what the Bible states.
Jesus will baptize with hs and fire.
He will baptise all people.
The HS baptism is the winnowing fan, where the wheat is separated from the chaff. (The work of the HS baptizing us into Christ, or the baptism of washing where we are cleansed)
the baptism of fire. A fire we are told will never be quenched.
Their is only one fire in scripture which fits that defenition, and that is hellfire.
I believe John is talking about the baptism to life (HS) and the final baptism to death (Fire)
Amen......after salvation our reward is based upon our service which has nothing to do with our salvation......
Who do you center your hope in and on?
Hannah wept bitterly before the Lord asking Him to take away the shame of her barrenness. And he answered. That's who we center our hope in and on.
For those assuring they will be alive when Jesus returns, that is an awkward statement to me. No one knows the hour nor the day when Christ comes back except God. So, we may all be dead in this physical body when Christ returns.
EVIDENCED to who exactly? God? He doesn't know He made us a new creation? Other believers? So our walk is a kinda report card to believers to prove to them we're saved? To the unsaved? Boy you better be careful with that one!! ONE occasion of too much drink, ONE lie, ONE fit of anger, etc... and you will get the "Aha!! you call yourself a Christian."
Evidence to myself? I am a child of the One true God, Born again. In One Hand God the Father holds me. In the other Jesus Christ. And the Holy Spirit has sealed me with His Presence unto the day of redemption! NO ONE CAN SNATCH ME FROM THOSE HANDS OR UNSEAL ME!
I DO NOT have to prove that I am a Child of God by my works, good or bad. I'm a Child of God by birth! If you have kids, tell me, are they your kids by how they obey and behave? Or are they your children because they were BORN your child?
Am I saying that a born again believer should walk in the flesh? OF COURSE NOT! Further, there are always consequences for sin. For the unsaved (eternally lost) AND the saved. My consequences range from liver disease or death by auto for drinking, STDs and possible divorce for sexual sin,etc.., to being an ineffective witness to the world in bringing the Gospel, to possible immediate PHYSICAL death, to finally a loss of eternal rewards.
STOP looking at yourself and others in judging walks! Keep your eyes on our beautiful, Blessed Savior!
Am not understanding this EG.
In the parable of the talents, the person who does nothing with the knowledge of the kingdom that he was given will be cast into the outer darkness where there will be weeping and the gnashing of teeth. Are you thinking that we come to the Great White Throne judgement?
They are my children BECAUSE THEY LOOK LIKE ME.I DO NOT have to prove that I am a Child of God by my works, good or bad. I'm a Child of God by birth! If you have kids, tell me, are they your kids by how they obey and behave? Or are they your children because they were BORN your child?
How, pray tell, does being put to death physically make it so the disobedient, sinning confessor of Christ magically get saved that way? The passage in 1 Corinthians 5 says he must be turned over to satan for the destruction of the flesh SO THAT HIS SPIRIT BE SAVED WHEN CHRIST COMES BACK.Am I saying that a born again believer should walk in the flesh? OF COURSE NOT! Further, there are always consequences for sin. For the unsaved (eternally lost) AND the saved. Philippians 2:13-16. Show yourself, prove yourself as one who God is working in to His good pleasure by doing things without grumbling or disputing, being hospitable. Read it.STOP looking at yourself and others in judging walks! Keep your eyes on our beautiful, Blessed Savior!
And then we come back to this.
When we are used of God, it's out of the anointing. Not of our own actions.

'They are my children BECAUSE THEY LOOK LIKE ME.
Understand?
In both my wife's and my family, we have members that we wonder if they belong to the family BECAUSE THEY DON'T LOOK LIKE THE REST OF US.
How, pray tell, does being put to death physically make it so the disobedient, sinning confessor of Christ magically get saved that way? The passage in 1 Corinthians 5 says he must be turned over to satan for the destruction of the flesh SO THAT HIS SPIRIT BE SAVED WHEN CHRIST COMES BACK.
How does being put to death physically make it so a person WILL be saved when Christ returns? That means he would NOT be saved when Christ returns if he did not die physically for his sin. What value is physical death towards being saved? That sounds like works to me, not faith. You're the one who sees works under every stone and behind every tree in church teachings, but you can't see it in your own belief about the person who must die to the flesh in 1 Corinthians 5:5. That's ironic.
Philippians 2:13-16. Show yourself, prove yourself as one who God is working in to His good pleasure by doing things without grumbling or disputing, being hospitable. Read it.
Then read 2 John 1:8 KJV, "Look to yourselves...".
rAnd then read all of 1 John. The whole book is devoted to looking at yourself to know if you are saved, and looking at others so you won't be deceived by their false teachings.
