Amen Bill....and thanks be to God...by faith we have won the proverbial eternal lottery hahahahaWho is the vinedresser? I have as much chance attaching myself to the vine as I have as winning the lottery. And I don't do the lottery.

I think the issue for me is that there seems to be and kind of supernatural about it. You say i started prophecy twice and we talked about it. If you remember in said that I did not identify with it.
So what ever I said I just said. I wasn't asking to be baptised in the Spirit to say what I said.
I have been in situations when I have no idea what to say or do, so I just pray Holy Spirit help me here.
So I think I struggle with is that it's supernatural when in fact it's natural. Natural as children of the Father
supernatural just means it's from another realm. Prophecy, which is what I said you did, is a gift of Holy Spirit. No one has to ask for Him twice, but there are infillings.
And I agree with you. Though the gifts are of Holy Spirit, and they are of the spiritual realm, it seems the natural way of speaking. Though I've felt power at times.
I write out of this more than speak.
I can only go by what you post. You have no idea what I believe , proven by what you just posted.
And we know if we really are sons of God by if we have the head of grain, the fruit, of a wheat stalk and are not tares that only look like sons of God on the outside (church attendance, leading Bible studies, leading various ministries, witnessing, being a deacon, etc.) but have no fruit. We become the sons of God. The new man is instantaneous.
We learn how to act out the new creation we are through knowledge/teaching.We are already new creations in Christ. We don't become that through teaching.
It's an empowering of the Spirit above and beyond having the Holy Spirit residing in you in salvation.I have to be honest here and as I am if anyone responds please do so based on what I am about to say.
I have no idea what baptism of/in the Holy Spirit is or means.
I truly dont.
I know when I believed in Jesus I received the Holy Spirit in me.
I hear people say "Be filled up with the Holy Spirit"
Every day when I wake up I just ask "Jesus help me to be like you"
The Apostles received the Holy Spirit in John 20:22. Then they received the power of the Holy Spirit to be witnesses. It's the difference between just having the Holy Spirit inside the container of your body and having it overflowing out of you in some kind of gift and ability, or an expression of the fruit of the Spirit.
Visible, outward, active love (God's love) seems to be the signature of the baptism-the drenching-of the Holy Spirit. When you love like God loves you will see that you have lots of power in the Spirit to do the loving things you want to do for people.
Every believer will be raised up in his new body. For those assuring they will be alive when Jesus returns, that is an awkward statement to me. No one knows the hour nor the day when Christ comes back except God. So, we may all be dead in this physical body when Christ returns.

All who do not have the fruited head of wheat are plantings of the evil one and will be rejected when Jesus comes back and will be gathered together and burned, not saved, no matter how many church activities you got involved with. Make sure you're not one of them. Test yourself to see if you're in the faith. Look at your life. Look for the fruit of the Spirit.

This I have no argument.
We learn how to act out the new creation we are through knowledge/teaching.
If you can't act out what you are because of justification by faith apart from works then you aren't justified by faith apart from works. You just think you are. You will be rejected when Jesus comes back. No works of service in the church for God will make up for you not having the obedient fruit of the Spirit when Jesus returns. The sacrifice of your service will never replace or make up for the absence of your obedience according to the fruit of the Spirit, for which when you walk that way there is no violation of law.
Workers in the church who are lawless and don't walk in the Spirit according to the fruit of the Spirit will be rejected when Jesus comes back. They show they do not know Him.
I never heard that before about the wheat and chaff. That's good! Thanks!
Um re read it. He is saying water baptism is the baptism in the Holy Spirit.
Bogus.

John the Baptist said he will baptise you with the HS and fire. Baptism f the spirit being the means by which God separates the wheat (saved) (baptism of the spirit) from the chaff (unsaved) the chaff he will burn with an unquenchable fire (baptism in fire)
It was this paragraph I was referring to. I looked but didn't see water baptism mentioned.
Baptism of fire is somethingI want to know more of.

Some interpret the baptism of fire as referring to the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was sent from heaven. “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them” (Acts 2:2-3). It is important to note that these were tongues as of fire, not literal fire.Baptism of fire is somethingI want to know more of.
