For those assuring they will be alive when Jesus returns, that is an awkward statement to me. No one knows the hour nor the day when Christ comes back except God. So, we may all be dead in this physical body when Christ returns.

I can only go by what you post.
You want to stop focusing on everyone's sin. That means you want to ignore the verse stating ALL HAVE SINNED AND FALLEN SHORT OF THE GLORY OF GOD. That is the basis for Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. It is a basic theological Issue. Ignoring that concept implies that some possibly lead sinless lives and don't need the sacrifice of Christ which is against what the Bible states.

And we know if we really are sons of God by if we have the head of grain, the fruit, of a wheat stalk and are not tares that only look like sons of God on the outside (church attendance, leading Bible studies, leading various ministries, witnessing, being a deacon, etc.) but have no fruit.
All who do not have the fruited head of wheat are plantings of the evil one and will be rejected when Jesus comes back and will be gathered together and burned, not saved, no matter how many church activities you got involved with. Make sure you're not one of them. Test yourself to see if you're in the faith. Look at your life. Look for the fruit of the Spirit.

We learn how to act out the new creation we are through knowledge/teaching.
If you can't act out what you are because of justification by faith apart from works then you aren't justified by faith apart from works. You just think you are. You will be rejected when Jesus comes back. No works of service in the church for God will make up for you not having the obedient fruit of the Spirit when Jesus returns. The sacrifice of your service will never replace or make up for the absence of your obedience according to the fruit of the Spirit, for which when you walk that way there is no violation of law.
Workers in the church who are lawless and don't walk in the Spirit according to the fruit of the Spirit will be rejected when Jesus comes back. They show they do not know Him.

I've seen exceptions, but we're not going to be very powerful in the Spirit if we don't have love overflowing from us first. The power of the Spirit works through love.
The baptism in the Holy Spirit in power is for the asking. Not many people seeking and asking for it because we've been taught that the supernatural ended with the Apostles. Look what we have as a result.

Every believer will be raised up in his new body.
Since nothing can be added or taken away from your life when you leave the body in physical death, your fate is already sealed as to what is going to happen to you at the return of Christ. If you were a tare/thorn bush the day you died that's what you'll be when Christ returns. And you will be condemned, not saved. That's why you have to test yourself NOW to see if you're in the faith. Test yourself to see if you have the mark of Christ in you according to the fruit of the Spirit. If not, believe in Christ so you can receive the Holy Spirit and through Him (the Spirit) produce the fruit of the kingdom and be saved when Jesus returns, not condemned.

The fruit of Holy Spirit comes out of our being. Be ing in Him. Sonship is to live, move, and have our being in Him.
So if one is continually judging self, looking for fruit in self, what has filled our vision? Who have we centered our hope in and on?
A plant just grows with Son sun light, water of the Word, watering, and soil filled with nutrients. The foundation of Jesus Christ the Righteous.
One has to have the good soil to be planted.. His works.
Actually if you look at the tree of life, and look at the leaves, you will see sprouts. Seek to understand.
And then we come back to this.
When we are used of God, it's out of the anointing. Not of our own actions.
You are speaking of character. God can use an earthen pot is true. But, He is making gold and silver when it comes to our character.
Never will happen by slap on the knuckles with a ruler. Nor with a set of laws.
Only by the Spirit of God. Free to be what He is making within. Rules will bind, cause fear with failures, and there will be failures, which then paralyzes. One cannot go forward.
Grace however, is He who comes alongside and wells up within...our helper.

Some interpret the baptism of fire as referring to the day of Pentecost, when the Holy Spirit was sent from heaven. “And suddenly there came a sound from heaven, as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled the whole house where they were sitting. Then there appeared to them divided tongues, as of fire, and one sat upon each of them” (Acts 2:2-3). It is important to note that these were tongues as of fire, not literal fire.
Some believe that the baptism with fire refers to the Holy Spirit’s office as the energizer of the believer’s service, and the purifier of evil within, because of the exhortation “Do not quench the Spirit” found in 1Thessalonians 5:19. The command to the believer is to not put out the Spirit’s fire by suppressing His ministry.
A third interpretation is that the baptism of fire refers to judgment. In all four Gospel passages mentioned above, Mark and John speak of the baptism of the Holy Spirit, but only Matthew and Luke mention the baptism with fire. The immediate context of Matthew and Luke is judgment (Matthew 3:7-12; Luke 3: 7-17). The context of Mark and John is not (Mark 1:1-8; John 1:29-34). We know that the Lord Jesus is coming in flaming fire to judge those who do not know God (2 Thessalonians 1:3-10; John 5:21-23; Revelation 20:11-15), but praise be to God that He will save all that will come and put their trust in Him (John 3:16)! Jesus will baptize with hs and fire.
He will baptise all people.
The HS baptism is the winnowing fan, where the wheat is separated from the chaff. (The work of the HS baptizing us into Christ, or the baptism of washing where we are cleansed)
the baptism of fire. A fire we are told will never be quenched.
Their is only one fire in scripture which fits that defenition, and that is hellfire.
I believe John is talking about the baptism to life (HS) and the final baptism to death (Fire)
