Muslims typically hold that Jesus was a prophet, and that Jesus was not God. They disagree with the gospels and with the new testament writers on several points regarding Jesus' status and nature. If you think muslims generally agree w/ the NT that Jesus is The Messiah, it seems you're either uninformed or misinformed.

I agree with everything here except for that last part : p I mean yeah it is written in Islamic doctrines that Muhammad did those things with a child but I dont feel that talking that way is the right way to reach Muslims : p
And yes, the God of the OT would come in the flesh of a man, the God of the Gospel did this through Jesus Christ, and Christ became God's only begotten Son. The god of the quran denies all of this and says he did none of it and that it is sinful to believe he did. Therefore, we do not worship the same God : p
We do not need to see if this is true on Judgment Day. If you read the Quran and if you could come across hadiths this would be settled. While Muslims believe that Jesus is the Messiah, they play word games with him and claim that he never said he was God, that he was not crucified on a cross (which goes against other historical sources besides the Bible that indicate Jesus died once through crucifixion), that Jesus is just a prophet, etc. Read Galatians 1. It condemns Islam, Mormonism, JWs, etc. Wake up, peacenik and stop defending Islam, skewering Christianity, and skewering Republicans. I am starting to wonder if you are saved or are sadly just ignorant of what Islam really is. If any radical Muslim tries to decapitate you, it most likely will be too late for you to know the truth about Islam. I gave you other sources, even a former Muslim, please read them and do not interpret the Quran on your understanding but read it as it is, then you will see what kayla and I are talking about and warning you about. Turkey is not the only one muslim country in the world. Why dont you look at Pakistan, Afghanistan, any other "istan", Saudi Arabia, North Africa etc? Women have no freedom there.
And even in Turkey woman has the worse position than in any non-muslim country.

This creates a faith which is completely around learning ceremony and long lists of behaviour. Outsides these lists you can do anything. The role of the teachers is just to interpret the law, or sharia and come out with rulings. So the culture does not encourage individualism, critical thought, self questioning, love, social action, care for others.

I saw nothing in this link that had had anything to do with judging a belief system that denies Jesus Christ and calls for the killing of the unbelievers. Unless you think that the judgement you pronounce will be used against you somehow has anything to do with this, which would be okay with me, as I believe in (the biblical) Jesus Christ.
But if you think we are to not point out that someone is denying Jesus Christ, then maybe you need to read the Gospel, because it is filled with warnings of false prophets and those who come in Jesus name to turn people away from Him. Not speaking out against a false prophet who denied Christ does not make you a good guy. In fact, you only encourage others to deny that Jesus was not the Son of God, to believe He did not die for their sins,and that He is not their savior and that He actually only came to told people to worship allah. If you believe this is what Christ wants you to do, then I dont believe you know Christ.
We are to guide people to Him, no where are we commanded to be friends of the world. A friend of the world is an enemy of God. Spreading the Gospel does not mean encouraging people to believe what they want to believe.

Yes it does. It denies him entirely.
People really need to actually learn what Islam says about Jesus. Yes, they believe He existed. Yes, they call Him Messiah.
No, they do not call Him the Son of God. No, they do not believe He died for our sins. No, they do not believe He is our salvation. He was no more than Isaiah or Hosea or Jeremiah.
Who is the liar? It is he who denies that Jesus is the Christ. It is the antichrist that denies the Father and the Son.
People really need to actually look into Islam themselves. Any Muslim will tell you, "God has no son".

You continue to say they deny Christ the way Jews do. But you condemn one while ignoring the other.
As I said previously and repeat once again, my Shiia friend acknowledges Jesus as Messiah as do other Muslims. If you must condemn one group for denying Jesus, then why not do the same to all?
Yes, because you continue to make the claim Muslims believe in Christ even though all of their scriptures tell you differently. Then you try to turn it around on me to take the light off yourself by saying "you support the Jews, ooooooh".

But okay, peacenik, go ahead and base your views on Islam on your own personal feelings over the quran, the hadiths, Muhammad and his followers, and even every Muslim. You do know better, Im sure.
Also, this is a thread about Islam. Not about others. That is why. Its a very easy answer.
Christ does not mean prophet. It means anointed one, yes. But it is a title for Jesus, the Son of God. He was the one prophecised to come. They use the word Christ, but they still claim He was no more than a messenger for allah.
I wonder, by your standards here, if you would tell us its wrong to say that atheism is wrong.
"My atheist friend believes Jesus the man did exist. We should not say that they are wrong in denying Him". Believing He is the Son of God is 100% required according to the Gospel. Not one of us will be saved for "being a good person". If you read the Gospel, you would see that that is entirely impossible.

Quran 4:48-"allah forgiveth not that partners should be set up with him, but he forgiveth anything else, to whom he pleaseth; to set up partners with allah is to devise a sin most heinous indeed"
It is called Shirk, in Islam, the unforgivable sin is to put anyone on the same level as their god. In the OT, we are told that one who appears as a "Son of Man" would come from the presence of God, and would rule the entire world and be worshiped by all from Jerusalem, and that a King would come from the line of David who would be our Lord and Righteous Savior, and that a son would be given to us who would be called Mighty God, Emmanuel. In the Gospel, people bowed to and worshiped Jesus. And no, He never once told them to stop, to worship God alone. He tells us that He is in God and God is in Him, that He does the work of God, and that He is God.
So it should be no surprise that a "prophet" came about later and made the claim that this is all blasphemous. We were entirely warned that these false prophets would come IN HIS NAME after Him. They tell you they believe in Him. They tell you they follow Him too. Awesome. But when you actually start to look at what they believe, you see that it is absolutely not the same Jesus Christ, but a different version of Him made up by their prophet (and whatever spirit was guiding them).
Do not let yourself be guided into supporting these doctrines that deny Him by others who want to look "friendly" by not starting debates with those WORKING to deny Christ. Stand firm in the word of God. Christ is the Son of God who came to save us from our sins. And He will come back to reign over the earth, and yes, the earth will bow before Him. He is not a messenger, He is far more than that.
