So if someone follows Jesus and does what he says, but believes he can perish if he stops following him, is that person not a sheep and will perish?
His sheep NEVER perish.

How can one of His sheep believe they can perish?
2 possibilities:

1:They are not His sheep.

2:They are deceived sheep.

Which do you think the lord is most pleased with? Sheep that believe they will never perish regardless of what they do, or sheep that work righteousness, but think they can perish if they don't do God's will.

I have more faith In the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation than you do.

Honestly? The believer who teaches/believes/promotes loss/forfeit of salvation...............Brings the most shame to the Lord.

He paid for sin, but He didn't pay for " I worked so much righteousness!"

So basically what you're saying is that once a person is saved it makes absolutely no difference what they do, even believing they can be lost.

I beg to differ

Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people zealous of good works. Titus 2:13-14

The way you answered that question was beating around the bush which proves the answer to be "NO".

Then, how were you baptized!

The only thing I'm confused about is the way some people think.

It brings these verses to real life.

Matthew 7:21-23
King James Version
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?

23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.

Notice those who He never knew pointed to all of the things they had done. Not once in those verses mentioning Christ or His righteousness which is our only hope.

The person you are responding to has vastly different fruits than those in the scriptures you're posting.

I suspect brother @mailmandan would say something more like "Lord, I may not deserve your mercy but I place my faith entirely in Christ.

Well, add the caveat loser of salvation........... Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and You MIGHT be saved........Acts 16.1:>33333 LOSERS Bible.

Notice that those who he never knew didn't do works of righteousness. They focused on doing things that don't profit

Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? Matthew 7:22
Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not love, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not love, it profiteth me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:1-3

You are saved.....And your whole speel is to convince other believers of DEATH/CONDEMNATION.

I would rather be at and participate in a constant weed/bong festival than your message to other believers.

You know, I studied the original languages and many of the nuances. One has to look very close to the clause that the
"present" tense is in..........And this ONE of them. What can you tell me?

Because I KNOW it is not about any "present" condition of salvation.

I know you studied or haven't studied the languages? Listening to someone explain something is not that same as working in the Text yourself.

For example, there's a guy I know of and have communicated with who learned from someone who learned from RBT. He exegetes the language as did RBT. I read one of his works through every piece of detail he provided and was pretty much in agreement with him. Then, in his conclusion, IMO he without a doubt stated a clear systematic meaning that in no way was clear in the actual exegesis.

I also interacted with another group who had developed a system for analyzing the Greek Text and how clauses tie together and such. They were doing some very interesting work with the Text and then throwing systematic conclusions in at the last minute. When I began asking exegetical questions it hurt somebody's feelings and the head guy asked for a phone discussion so he could ask me to not to ask such questions.

Exegetes often disagree and have for millennia.

Like I said......YOU CANNOT DEAL WITH NEVER PERISH

You bet I do. I think you are His sheep. You question it.......Bringing Him SHAME.

I can deal with the Text and accept whatever it clearly and unambiguously says.

Thanks, I think. But didn't you earlier say I can't be one of His sheep?

BTW, I don't question it as you say I do.

Yes I do see they were pleading to HIM meaning it's too late for them.

They could have been working for HIM their whole life? Maybe a short time?

What were they missing is the question.

Yes Sir, the mailman guy does not follow the book of Acts for salivation he don't like the idea that we have to be baptized in JESUS name to get rid of our sins, or the what happens when JESUS fills us with HIS spirit like in Acts 2:4.

According to JESUS in John 3:5 we need both.

The mailman may say have mercy I had faith, but as we can tell those who JESUS is sending to Hell had faith and faith alone wasn't enough.

I think, can't remember the mailman guy in the past said they didn't have enough faith sticking to the all you need is faith and your reborn.

If they didn't have faith they would not have been working for JESUS (many wonderful work etc) Since they prophesied they had to have the Holy Ghost so to me they were like Acts 10 but was never was baptized in JESUS name?

As I said I'm guessing, I can not back up what I think with scripture.

Hey there! :D

I am not dan but I think brother dan tries with his whole mind heart and soul to follow all of scripture as a whole, (acts included) and pair it with what the Holy Spirit shows him in his walk.

It appears to me those who said "Lord Lord" which our Lord never knew, seemingly showed their faith was in their own actions through their attempt at self justification through efforts.

When I will be justified, because my faith is in Christ I will in turn point to Him as my savior. My hope. My redemption.

I will be covered with the righteousness of Christ and seen as spotless because of His mercy and grace.
