Hi @BarberAdmittedly, just reading the Scripture verse you quoted makes it sound as if baptism is required for the remission of sin. BUT, when studying The Word one needs to take the preponderance of Scripture into consideration. And clearly the majority of Scripture teaches that we are saved by grace through faith and not of ANY works that we could boast of. So obviously that would include our going down into a pool of water with words said over us. We should be baptized once we are saved, as the Lord commands us to do it as an outward sign of an inward change. But the Holy Spirit moves in to us the minute we are saved, and we are forgiven. Just as the repentant thief on the cross was saved by his faith. Not being submerged in water.
Agreed with your post.
You have just been accused of being baptised for show by @Ouch
That being the case do you think that Jesus would agree with that?
It seems like your accuser does.
Would you agree with that?
@Ouch you have been baptized in Jesus name only.
You tell people that is the only way to have your sins remmised.
Do you tell people that you have done that?
If so then you do that for show as you accused @Barber
I know what your response will be.
So no need to respond.
Anyway the oneness pentacostals like @Ouch reject what Jesus told us to do in Mathhew 28, they deny the Trinity.
Sad thing is that @Ouch and his cohorts believe you are not saved, and the majority do not have the balls to say you are not saved and the Trinity is not true/real even when you ask them.
I and others here ask the same questions but you never get the yes/no response.
The reason is because they know they would be banned on here because of the heresy they preach.
Be careful of the wolves in sheep clothing
By the way they also tell you that if you don't speak in tongues your not saved.
Asked that question many timew and others have as well as the baptism mode.
