No, the modern day Christmas tree practice developed in Germany during the 16th century amongst Christians.

The Tradition of Decorating Evergreen Trees for the Winter Solstice...As I have said before. Originated with Ancient Paganism.

Were 16th Century Germans inspired by Pagan Traditions? Quite Likely.
Germany is a land of Ancient Pagans, and have had Revivals of Pagan Traditions many times, in World war 2 for example.

Christmas banned in America … by Christians!

Well, naturally the Germaic people have their origins in pagan culture, but they also brought us Martin Luther and many other great things. A pagan tradition can be redeemed. It's the motivation of the heart that matters. I don't worship my Christmas tree in any manner, it's a tree that looks good and reminds me of God's gift of Jesus to us. Nothing more.

If practicing Pagan Traditions that are banned by the bible somehow remind you of "Jesus" then more power to you.

I personally find Ancient Paganism quite Interesting.

One God.

Not one Father.

The Son appeared as Malek Yahweh in the OT.

Jesus even remarks that Abraham saw Him and was glad!

Even the authors of the Koran knew that Jesus is God on Earth.

'God' with us.

Not 'Father' with us.

Jesus is God.....Jesus is NOT the Father...just as scriptures states...

No mention that The Son is The Father.

There are verses which state that The Father creates; that The Son creatres; that The Spirit creates...this is the Trinity.

Simple...

Please do...

No verse thwarts the Trinity.

Subordinationism?

All what you have said here is correct. However, none of it make Christ being God a form of paganism.

Actually the practice of the Christmas tree came from the German Jews and they called it a Hanukkah bush not a Christmas tree.

Making "Jesus" idols and worshiping and kneeling before them is not Only Paganism, but also forbidden by the bible...

As far as Jesus being "God" well...
I guess it is paganism. In the sense that Jesus had a very Complex set of teaches and actions that didn't really include making himself out to be a "God" figure to be Worshiped...
I thought his boldest claim was being the SON of God?

I much hold to the Opinion of Thomas Jefferson in this matter. In that is quite likely much of the Gospels were Corrupted over time. and that many Contradictions in the Gospels (and in the whole bible) can be explained when Considering the Possibility of Corruption.
Though this is quite hard to swallow if you believe the Bible is Infallible, the Gospels themselves say in the End of John that "There is not a book big enough" to contain all of what Jesus said. It is my opinion that the Gospels in the Current form are highly edited and Impartial. With that Idea floating, you might want to know that there were many Scriptures that COULD have been in the bible didn't end up in the Final Canon. The Scriptures in the bible were chosen by MEN and not "God"
Obviously.

I actually own the Complete 'Nag Hammadi Scripture...Which are many of the Scriptures that the Roman Catholic Empire Rejected.

I mean just think about it...It was not that long ago in the grand scheme of history that the Scriptures were Translated into the Common Language...Even Modern Translations can vary so much it makes people go out and buy the King James Version...

They Holy Spirit moved through Jesus. All of miracles were carried out by the Holy Spirit. Jesus did not start his ministry U ntil He was baptized In the Holy Spirit.

I thought this thread was about Jesus being God. But if we want to talk trinity we must go back to the Beginning.

Genesis 1:26And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth.

Now I think you will agree that You have a mind, a body, and a spirit. You are 3 in 1. Just like God.

You "guess" its paganism because you might be affected by what rabbinic jews might have said is "jewish tradition" or what Thomas Jefferson may have thought was paganism. The infallibility of scripture and the issue of what manuscripts are most reliable is another topic, by itself.

Thousands of "Christians" DO make Jesus Idols. Or Mary Idols...It's Catholics really...But Plenty of protestants will do the same thing Basically.

It's not really a separate Topic..(though I realize I rambled around there :P). In that I was trying to say many things like Jesus being "God" and The "Son of God" or Contradictory statements made by Jesus could be Mistranslations and Corruptions.

You are correct here and I happen to agree with you on this one. You probably also know that there are christians who do not do this.

Until somebody show authentic and genuine proof of such claims in the forms of "untampered" original writings and the likes (none has until now) I think you should not take such notions too seriously.

Not really, most of the verses that describe Jesus as God are pretty "set in stone," so-to-speak. I happen to study the issue of NT textual criticism, and if there's one doctrine that I study more than any other, it's the Deity of Christ, so this little excerpt caught my attention. I think it would be interesting to see some of the alleged passages that "could be" corruptions, or mistranslations. Sure, there may be a couple verses which are frequently used to articulate the Deity of Christ, that are rather vague (Acts 20.28), or some that perhaps are "errors of the eye/pen" (1 Timothy 3.16).

I love verses like, He who has seen Me has seen the Father. This in John.

Remember, too, no one has EVER seen God.

I love this one too from Collossians 1 : He (Jesus) is the visible image of the invisible God.

And, there are so many blatant truths, like, I and the father are one. So , what dows this mean, Christ peeps? How 'bout, They (Jesus and God, and, why we're at it, the Holy Spirit is seed of God , birthed of man, so He, too, is one with Jesus and God. Like that att phone commercial with little kids giving simple answer to question the guy sitting at the little kid's table with all these littles kids.

It's not complicated, when the one true Christ is realized, when all of Scripture OT makes God out aa one and 'new' too does same.

So, why not just take Scripture at face value, the Godhead of Christ dwells fully in Him (Jesus.' That's Collossians 2, by the way.

He also called himself the "The Son Of Man". Either accept Him or not that is the true question here.

Nice one.

"Son of Man" and not as the kindred of the family of Nazareth, or of the Jewish nation, but as the kindred of humanity. He is the brother of the Greek, the Roman, the Gaul, the American, the African, as well as of the Jew. :)

I hadn't noticed Act 20:28 in my studies. It is worthy of "careful attention."

"Pay careful attention to yourselves and to all the flock, in which the Holy Spirit has made you overseers, to care for the church of God, which he obtained with his own blood."

Re: Jesus IS God...

You are trying to say there is a Trinity when the Bible Forbids Paganism and completely Omits the Word "Trinity"...Sorry but that doesn't Fly.

Show us the word 'monad' in the Bible.

Why don't you tell that to Jews?

Done.

It's probably their opinion that you are Worshiping the 'Creator' wrong.

Scripture tells us that they incorrectly worshiped God.
