I laugh when it "gets cold" in Florida, cause well. its not really cold. cold is minus 20 with 30MPH winds...
Cold is relative........what one is acclimated to........-20 degrees for some is cold where they have become acclimated.......just as 10 degrees is cold to us who are acclimated to much warmer daily averages............ just saying ..........
Gonna peak outside here in a minute........but I looked at the NWS Radar, and it appears that the ice 'n' stuff missed us.....thank God! Truly, thank God!
Cold is killing the fruit you might want to eat.....so yes, it can get cold in Florida.
This is good news for you.....I lived 15 minutes away from work in Kentucky we had an ice storm it took me 2 hours to crawl home.....slip sliding away......hum reminds me of a song.......
Actually I don't like anything under 70 honestly. but it was -9 here this morning.

Local TV Weather just announced that we are expected to get 1 to 2 inches of snow by morning............and on into Wednesday. Don't sound like much does it? THIS IS BAMA! gggrrrrrrrrrrrr

it was 0 degrees here day before yesterday..ughh..
just went outside to take out my trash and check the mail. boy it's coooolddd out there, and the wind is blowing something wicked..arctic wind..would not wanna be a homeless person nor beast tonight. 
Time to move south.....deep south......Won't ya be my neighbor? Place next door is empty and being refurbished rental unit......

Woke up, got out the snow shovel, went outside..........35 degrees, clear skies.....WUT?
Came back in, turned on the TV, now they say........well, it should be here around 2PM.............seriously?
Anyway............who knows.........goodness..........these guys can't tell us what's going to happen in the next 12 hours with perfect clarity.................BUT they know EXACTLY what the earth's climate/temperature was a billion years ago?
