IT'S SO COLD IN FLORIDA.......HOW COLD IS IT?

well, it's almost March, so we'll get a little snow tomorrow.
i'm thinking if April is nothing but 70s, the snow should be melted by May.

thanks for the scary face, Darlene. asking Mark to hold me is about my favorite thing! :)
 
It's finally warming up a bit here.

At the height (depth?) of winter it was so cold that one day I found a little brown rock in the parking lot. I picked it up and took it inside to look at it under a bright light. When it hit the warm indoor air it went "pffffft!" Yup, it was a frozen fart.

My wife tried not to laugh, but I thought that was funny. At my age, you can identify.

Hysterical.......lol You must be a red neck if you pick up frozen brown rocks and bring them inside just to hear them fart.....lol
 
Sunday went to a craft/produce outing on Corey Avenue out close to the beaches ........ nice warm sunny day and the car temp was telling me outside was 84 degrees.....I think we have survived winter...... Maybe a few more cool days but the end is in sight. Entering desert rat territory.....and tropical heat waves to follow shortly....then I must start a How Hot is it in Florida Thread..... Never happy..... Sorry Dad maybe I do complain as much as the Israelites.....out in the wilderness??? I'm good though in the food department please don't send Quail.
 
It's SO COLD in Florida, that I'M FEELING the COLD SHOULDER Tourist is getting............... :cool:
 
I don't know about you guys way up in Clearwater, but it is HOT down here in the South end of the county.
 
Went to the Home Depot yesterday and bought flowers to plant out in pots on the courtyard.....also a pretty red rose bush to stick in a larger pot out in the square between carports......84 degrees.....and sweating....ahhhh Spring....

Good for you. I hope the rose bush was of the "dwarf" variety, otherwise you are going to have to keep a close eye on it. Don't over water, but don't allow it to dry out.......make sure you feed it at least every 7 days......keep spray on the leaves to avoid any blight........regular rose bushes do not do well in pots..........in my experience.......

Anyway, you may be an experienced gardener and know all of this, but I hate to see a rose bush, any rose bush needlessly sacrificed on the alter of the weekend weeder.

I have planted roses both ways in ground and in pot.....potted ones seemed to do better at least for the Blond.... I love flowers..... and just don't go where you are thinking.....lol

gonna be about 75ish today with some rain.............about 38ish tomorrow with chance of sleet and freezing rain.......
 
Minus 30 Celsius which is minus 22 Fahrenheit but spring is coming cause Walmart just put out their hummingbird feeder display.
