Ive never seen any premillennialist claim the tribulation in Matthew 24 came and went. How does that work?

When someone says “ Israel”

Some are talking about the people and others are talking about the land on this earth we’ve created and renamed as “israel “ after the war
The problem is that Israel means all of those things!

Israel CAN mean:

-The people of God, that would be you and me, us in Christ.
-The descendants of the man called Jacob
-The northern tribes, the kingdom of Israel (as opposed to Judah, in the OT)
-Israel as a united kingdom (both Israel & Judah together)
-The LAND of Israel, given to the people

So whenever its used we need to figure out in what sense is it being used.

I think Matthew 24 is both past and future because the disciples asked Jesus 3 questions he was answering; some answers pertain to the end of the age of the law, and some to the end of the age of the nations. ie his return to earth. Sorry I don't watch or read any preachers that I can think of at the moment.
 
A lot of this mess comes from people imagining elect or chosen means saved. There is only one way to be saved and that is by the blood of Jesus and both jew and gentile must believe the gospel.
You can be part of God's chosen people and still die as a lost man. Many such cases. King Saul being a great example, who wasn't only part of the elect nation of Israel but was also chosen to be the King of Israel and still that did not matter because He disobeyed God.
They can see this in the church, but with Israel the mind is just blinded to it. You can be a church goer and not be saved.

Romans 11:28
As far as the gospel is concerned, they are enemies for your sake; but as far as election is concerned, they are loved on account of the patriarchs,

This one verse should settle the debate once and for all. This is talking about the Israel after the flesh, who are enemies because they don't believe the Gospel and in many cases are hateful towards Christians, but despite this they are still loved on account of the patriarchs to whom the promises were given, because God's gifts and calling is irrevocable.
This cannot be talking about 'spiritual Israel' because those of us in Christ are not enemies of the Gospel.

For those who disagree with what I wrote, I would like to hear a rebuttal or an alternative interpretation of Romans 11:28? What else could it possibly mean?

No one is disputing the topics you're talking about.

If you read the thread, the fight is really about Jew-haters distorting the promises of God so that people less knowledgeable of the Bible and too lazy to be Bereans about it would just believe the lies.

I don't know why they keep thinking if the whole world turns on Israel that this hate would wipe the nation out. They either think that this might change God's mind to make Him turn against His promises to Israel or that He isn't powerful enough to keep His promises.

Either way, the more lies they keep posting, the worse their consequences.

Add this verse in before what you said and i would agree

We identify people as an Israelite because they have certain flesh and blood by thier parents .that’s not how God identifies them .

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham. ( not his flesh but his faith ) And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall all nations be blessed. So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. ….There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”

the flesh isn’t going to mean anything to god a persons faith is what counts of they are israelite or gentile

IMO at the moment this would be one of the better sites you could learn from. Everything I've read so far is mature and solid. The only thing I disagree with so far is amil, but not really sure that's what they believe at this point. It's the work of Jewish believers who IMO don't have the same baggage most Christians have from growing up learning wrong things. I used to go to a messianic congregation that I liked for that reason.

I agree. The Jew-haters also are Christ-haters because they don't allow the Holy Spirit to conform them to Christ. If they did, they wouldn't hate Jews or Israel and they would be obedient to the Lord, living the way Jesus does.

You still do not get it. God favours Israel because it is Israel. God blesses all mankind in spite of their evil ways because they are made in his image. God included "nation" in His covenant with Abraham. He gave Abraham land, or have you not read that bit? And it is way more land than Israel occupies at present. That will change eventually and Israel will recover what they lost.

Do you know what "everlasting" means? Look it up in the dictionary then read Psalm 105.

I think it means that even though there is hostility between them and God because they reject his mercy shown to gentiles, God has not utterly cast them away and will receive them back and give them the promises made to their fathers if they turn and do the right thing, because he is a merciful God.

I know you have a position on this but must ask...is there a third temple built?
